noname1988,
I carefully chose the new default camera to get the best angle to both judge the height and depth of the ball... In TE2013, it wasn't much good to estimate the ball height. Yours is very not efficient for that... :blackeye:
And the ball height is quite an important aspect of the gameplay now...

Guest,
I'll try to add the saving of that option at some point, but it's not straightforward... :fear:

I gave my opinion about sliding in other topic, just wanted to say here that I really like that.

Also, the new colors for grass, clay (specially clay) and blue-green cement are really an improvement from what we had. I remember this was asked in the past so it's really nice to see changes.

Fed1,
I'm glad to know that you enjoy the new volleys !
I didn't mind the old ones, so I wasn't sure the new ones were a significant improvement over them or not... :fear:

Manu we need a level of details with the umpire but without the line refs like in real life. What do you think?

Huge improvement over the old ones. The old ones had players arms too far away from body even on a body volley. I would still love to see the player step forward just before contact but much improved. Thanks.

Hi manu,

I just wanted to say that I don't really understand this new gameplay change in Version 0.52 : - Gameplay : slightly raised the time to stop to run when pressing a strike button so now it matches the time needed to trying to run in the opposite direction.

From my POV, it's as if there were a significant amount of input lag whenever I try to hit a ball when running, which doesn't make the gameplay smooth. I really think that it would better for the game to have this change removed.

JiJo & noname1988,

Hi manu,

1) Return still feels kinda random on the latest update. Better than the previous one in general, but sometimes the player prepares for a fh return when the ball in fact goes to the bh side. Not sure if there're other similar bugs but that's the one I've noticed.
2) I don't think the sliding issue occurring since the beginning of v0.52 was ever fixed. In rallies, more than half of the times, the player would stop moving at the last sec and end up not hitting the ball at all. That never happened in the previous builds with sliding.
3) I don't get why the player now slides when returning serves. That doesn't happen in real life and positioning/timing gets fucked up - returning isn't that ez on TE 4 and now it feels even more random.

I also wanna add that these situations happen more frequently in online games.

Mystery,
2) 3) You should send me a Bug Report at the end of the point you have noticed these Bugs.

1) This one I already got a Bug Report so hopefully I'll be able to reproduce it.

I only played one set lately and didn't record it. But many people have noticed both 2) and 3). I will try to get someone to send a bug report to you instead.
Meanwhile you can also reproduce something similar in offline mode - let an AI be on the other side and a human player on your side. If you don't press anything and just let the AI serve, you char would sometimes slide and meanwhile stretch to reach a serve that's absolutely impossible to return without any manual movement. That's very unrealistic to me.
