MalcolmP,
it'll be in the next demo update, which won't happen before a new Build (ie: a gameplay change or fix).

I'm playing a lot on hard surfaces and I've noticed that he hardly ever hits the most demanding balls with a slide, but the player tries to hit "crouched" and it looks weird. I remember that in previous versions it happened, perhaps a lot for these surfaces, but now I don't see it happening. I've also been watching this hard court season, most recently in Cincinnati, and I've been amazed at how the players are slipping compared to other years.

I am also testing the Footwork Booster, I think it works correctly, it is a great help. It would be more comfortable if this option also appeared in In Game Help since I have to go back to the player menu to change the intensity and check "in real time" the difference.

Manu, I'm still not sold on the side-spin. It's much better than when you first introduced it, but I think it should either be limited to only the acceleration shot or should be added as a Talent, with the default being no side-spin at all. It kind of feels like more of a wind effect blowing the tennis ball. Such a shot is difficult to hit in real life, and the way you have it with the banana shot modifer is just right. It should be hard to hit a shot with side spin. Would prefer to see it off or very minimized as a default. And enhanced by using the Talent setting.

Gusbaldo,
1) what are your Speed & Muscle Tone skills ? The sliding triggers only when you run fast enough, so if your player is a bit slow, it will almost never happen.
I'm planning to add a Talent to tune that.

2) I don't want to promote the Footwork Booster too much, because I'm afraid some people who could do without it will use it anyway, leading to a less realistic gameplay.
Maybe I'll add it to the Game Help screen anyway at some point, though. (I'm waiting for more feedback about it)

Brad1981,
I'll test some more and maybe tune it in the future.
Did you notice it was wrong with all players ? Or could it be linked to a special setup ?
IRL, when moving, the side spin should come naturally, even if it's just a bit (coz side spin = lateral move of the racket, induced from the player movement)

What exactly is the footwork booster? How it works?

polakis,
it raises the run acceleration & deceleration strengths, giving a more reactive player (which is less realistic) ; at its max level, it's quite close to the TE2013 feeling. (although it doesn't work exactly the same)

Hey, if I turn on the footwork boost option, it also changes for cpu or only for the user, I ask just out of curiosity because I rather play none ! but in my opinion, if someone is a fan of these 2013, this option should be, since it makes the game similar to 2013 and there are many fans, if someone wants, he will play it, if not, it will give none options, and in my opinion a very good addition.
greetings!

1 I didn't really notice, I'm playing with Djokovic loaded from the ranking.

2 I wouldn't use it, I just tried it to see how much difference it makes. Maybe it could be a feature that is enabled in arcade mode.

I have mainly just played as my player (45% topspin setting) against Nadal, for the time being. I mean, it's not horrendous like at first (sorry!), but honestly I have never seen side spin in rallys in real matches. Only on finishing shots where the player tries to go for a winner, but not during rallies. I've played for over 30 years and fairly decent player, and I don't think I was ever able to hit a shot with a curving side spin haha.
I just think it is mainly better suited to finishing shots where the player is running very fast off the court and tries to curve the ball in, like you have perfectly done with the banana modifier.

enes16,
the Footwork Boost is only for the human players.
It's possible to activate it for the CPU in the Tennis.ini . (look for "FastRun" under [Game] & [MtRun] for all the parameters)

Gusbaldo,
the Footwork Boost goal ( = faster moving to compensate for low reflexes) is very different from the Arcade controls ( = more forgiving wrong positioning, to make the game globally easier), so they should be togglable separately.

Brad1981,
Ok, I'll check some more, but I'm not sure when... :fear:

Hmm, I checked my computer, but couldn't find a TE4 doc? Could somebody help me out with the file path, please? I'd really like to check out the banana shot.

Got it! Thank you very much. It's a bid hard to trigger, but it's also a hard shot to do in real life.
