In v0.72, where is the new tutorial? I see the service training and ball thrower, but no tutorial, What am I missing?

if you have the XKT Mod, remove this file "Mods\XKT\Menu\Scripts\MainTe.menu" ; else you won't see the Tutorial menu in the Main menu

Another question. Is it possible to select which players take part in the Warm-up and Match modes in the Training Club?
If not, can that be added in a future release?

Hi Manu,

The tutorial looks great! I had just a few thoughts playing it.

1) When you finish a tutorial session, it might be better to take the player back to the tutorial screen rather than to the main menu.

2) Could you make it so that there is a number on the screen of how many shots you have hit, or maybe how many are left? I don't know how close I am to finishing the lesson because there is no counter. On some, like the one where you have to hit when the danger zone is orange, I'm also not sure which shots are counting towards the total.

1) Indeed, done for the next update !

2) It's already there, on the top left, where it shows what you have to do ; you also have an audio cue when you do the correct shot (a little "beep").

Ah ok, I don't have the counter on the top left. Could it be that the XKT mod UI interferes with it?

And I had two other suggestion after finishing all the sessions:

3) Do you think it would useful to add an aiming lesson to the serving module? It is slightly diffeent than just aiming normal strokes. As it is, the serving lesson seems less in-depth compared to the others even though it is really complex and there are so many different serves you can hit.

4) I also noticed that there is a lesson for short acceleration, but the normal short stroke (alt + up arrow) isn't mentioned in any of the lessons (unless I missed it).

I don't see the counter either, and I have XKT installed.

Pressing Defensive Lob button (XBOX controller) produces a normal strike when in Ball Thrower mode. Works in all other modes of the game.

1) You don't see "Hit 6 balls" in red, on the left, like on the following screenshot ?

3) 3 reasons :
- I'm still considering about changing a bit the serve, so I'd rather not put too much work into something that could end up wasted
- it's really like aiming during rallies, except there's no external elements, so the aiming is constant all the time, and thus it's much easier to apprehend
- there's a service training that let you easily test out all possible serves ; you can also try them in the tutorial

Ah ok, I do have the box in the picture you posted, but when I start hitting the shots the box disappears. What I was suggesting is more of a number that stays on the screen and counts up from one to 6 as you hit the correct shots.

I didn't know you were thinking about changing the serve. I'm excited to see what you have in mind! Are you planning to do something like the timing bar that tennis games often use?

I agree. It's what another tennis game does, and it's very useful. Right now, we have no idea how close we are to achieving the goal, unless we count the beeps.

I tried the tutorial, I completed it. It's very good, as they say, I also agree on including how to aim and when to hit the serve. The rest seems complete to me, good job.
I had the XKT mod and I didn't see the ball count either, nor did I add the line, which would be a matter of the mods including it.

PS: At the time of entering the first step of the tutorial I got the achievement on steam. I also got the achievement "Big guns" I think these should not be taken into account in the tutorial, I understand that it is very recent but I wanted to inform you.
