In my opinion, it's already the best ever. I'm just happy to see it's even getting better. :)

polakis,
likely next year, and I don't know how Modding will work on consoles ; I'll do my best to get as much stuff as possible.

Congrats on how TE4 is going Manu! :applause: I'm a chilean playing since TE2006 and I'm so excited to keep playing this amazing simulator.
I've been thinking about playing TE4 on Nintendo Switch since the first alpha, is it considered along with PS4/PS5? ':D

Many thanks as always for the continuous improvements. The new volleys are excellent. If you ever feel like you need downtime, by all means take it. Anyone who disagrees should stop to consider how much effort falls mostly on one person's shoulders to work on this game while also living a life. There will always be room for improvements to the game when you get back from a break.

gopaoz,
thanks !
It's unlikely I'll port the game on the Switch (coz the hardware is weak), but I'll have a look when the time comes (in a long time :fear: ).

spionkop,
thanks ! :)
I'd like to be done with the new anims (doing the stretching ones now), and after I'll move to the new stadiums : it's a tedious & long work, but it's not much tiring as I can half-sleep through most of it... :blackeye:

And what about the xbox's release ? It'll remain for June this year, or more late ?

Hi manu, going back to the stadiums situatio, Would mind share with us which stadiums are coming? Is there anyway we can be involved in that porcess? Like a vote or another thread so we, as a community, can have an inpact into whats comming?. Personally I'd like a few masters (1000, 500, 250), some training/small courts and maybe an exhibition/fantasy one, just to mix a bit

freehand,
the console versions will likely be for next year (hopefully, if not too many bad things happen to me meanwhile :fear: )

Fed1,
all the missing stadiums are already created : all Masters 1000 ( = 7 more stadiums), 1 ATP 500, 1 Challenger indoor, 1 Side Court for Grand Slams, 1 small outdoor training.
I just have to make them game ready (which should take around half a week each, if I'm not taken by other things and if there's no special issue with them :fear: )

That's great...really needs more stadiums and, particularly, side courts at venues. Unrealistic to be 40th and 50th ranked players playing each other in main court where the venue would have outside courts..

Hi Manu,
A couple of notes regarding your last entry:
1) Hope your sons get better! Sucks to be sick but it's part of life
2) Given that you won't work in animations for a while, Do you think you can get in contact with the modders to add more animations to the current game? Would be nice to have more and more
3) AWESOME NEWS about the stadiums selection rework. If you ask me I prefer 3d stadiums but it's amazing how much the 2d stadiums add to the game, with these new system I even think we can have multiple courts of the same tournament, like day/night variations or even the same court from different years, the potential here is incredible.
4) Regarding your financial situation, I'm really glad you can make a living out of this, I'm sure that I'm not the only one that finds your games so fun! I hate myself for suggesting this, because I'm old enough to believe that when you paid a game you should have 100% of the content, but times changes and I wouldn't think bad of DLC content for a tennis game. Of course it should only be cosmetic content like new courts/clothes/npc. I would gladly pay a few extra for that, maybe you can have a few dlcs or a premium edition with all these new content. I know that these comes with 2 problems: You have to hire an artist to create this content and since the game is so 'moddable' friendly it's possible to have this anyway (at least in a future) but I just wanted to bring this here, I fully believe that you deserve to make a fair ammount of money for what you do.
5) I'll be one of the first to purchase the old tennis elbows games if they were on Steam, hopefully one day we'll see them there, that's an easy way for you to shut up and take my money :D:D:D:D

I'm ready for the stadiums!

Fed1,
1) Thanks ! :)

2) Even adding animations done by the Modders require work on my part, so I won't likely do that before the v1.0 .

4) I really prefer the "pay once and get free updates as long as enough people keep buying the game" model ; it's good for everyone and encourages to spread the love.
It worked well enough for TE2013, so hopefully it'll work for TE4 as well.
If not already done, you can buy TEM2 though if you really want..! :P (if you have bought TE4 from managames.com, you have a discount for TEM2 in your license key email).

5) I may eventually put TE2004 & TE2006 on Steam, but I doubt I'll earn more than a couple of months of bills from them... :blackeye:

Hi Manu! I read the roadmap and the mini dev blog posts, looks like they pretty much cover all the way up to v1.0 (which is a lot!). I'm wondering a few things about this:
1) v1.0 means that the game will leave the early access status on steam?
2) What can we expect next? At least what are your ideas at the moment?

Thanks!

Fed1,
1) I'm not sure, but I guess not ; I'll probably let it in Early Access as long as I'm hoping to add significant new features

2) It'll depend on my mood & energy, but next I may add the single tournament mode & the World Tour player selection in the Training Club, as they are the 2 most recurring requested features

How about side courts for lower ranked matches so #50 and #80 ranked don't play at center court?
