I would also like to suggest if possible to add a SPLIT STEP before reacting to the move or shot it would improve a lot, I understand that this can be a difficult detail.

Yep, especially the one during returns.

anrox335,
I'm going to redo all the movement animations, but not the strikes, coz it's not possible (except maybe the sliding ones, I'll see how it goes).

The smash is already moddable.

Manu, thanks!

I started TE4 a little while ago and it was reported that a new version was available :)
Downloaded, installed, and tried, all ok! As soon as I can I'll test the new features (but I play in 2D, I don't know if it changes anything).

You know, some time ago on the Italian Ubuntu forum I reported TE4 and that I played it, but nothing, no one thought of me
Unfortunately in Italy the national sport is soccer but something is changing lately thanks to the successes of Jannik Sinner and the national team. I will try to post on the international forum of EndeavourOS (derived from Arch Linux), in fact since the end of last November I have been using EndeavourOS, but I still have Ubuntu in a partition.

Thanks again, and have a good weekend!

hi @manutoo

i've got several friends almost convinced for buying the game
i explained them all the good stuff but they've seen some videos and are not quite convinced about the animations
y explained them the motion capture issue and they said 'will see'

do you know aproximately when the motion capture animations version will be released?

the other guys in the group who already have the game are telling them this is the best tennis game ever
but you know... the videos doesn't allow to see how incredible is this videogame :(

I've been following the development of your game, Manu, since 2020 and COVID. To be honest, I'm not really into indie games, especially for tennis games, where I've been waiting for big productions since 2011 and TS4. But I have to admit that I'm impressed by the videos I've watched over the years of your TE4, whose gameplay is far superior to the very poor Tiebreak and the very lazy TS2K25.
A little cautious, I still haven't bought the game because I'm waiting for the final version with motion capture or a future discount in the Microsoft store (I have an Xbox). Take your time, recover from your injury. TE4 deserves to be polished to definitively bury the two games mentioned above!

So sad to hear about your injury. I can relate to it. Regarding the game, it is better to do it when your health gets better. Tennis Elbow 4 is already better than any of the existing games. I am not sure if I got spoiled by TE4, but I was able to test TieBreakTopSpin2k25 on PlayStation and they are utterly trash. I might buy them if they will be cheap enough.

Hi Manu,

I'm sorry you got hurt, and how, it's true that maybe you were careless, but you were also unlucky :(
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

P.S. On one of the many forums I subscribe to, I recommended TE4 to a Windows user who wanted to play online. After visiting your site he replied that it seems to him that TE4 is still in development. I then told him that v1.0 was released in March, and therefore it is playable, but it always has been, and obviously development continues to improve it more and more. He never replied to me again :(

Hi Manu,

Sorry to hear about your injury. Hope you recover soon. I just want to say how much I love TE4. I have been playing for hours and hours since the playstation release last November. I am a avid gamer and used to play tennis may years ago.

Thank you for all your hard work and creating a super game. I am excited to see what will be developed/changed in the coming months. But don't worry about pushing yourself to deliver development. Please ensure you recover and rest first :-)

GeneralZod, Kete-15, Comatorium182, tmihai20, Arbyrb, mvkmatt4457,
thanks. :jap:
I just did an update on my health => viewtopic.php?p=297015#p297015 .

Actarus69,
yes, some people are afraid of the "Early Access" label, but they are not the majority.

Thomas,
don't worry, even with my foot in full health, I'd try to find a younger & more dynamic tennis player than myself. ':D
