Why real players in ATP don't do that ? lol

And why he wasn't able to catch 117 km/h shots? Seems to be a problem by your attacking ...

I just have to laugh on you MG tour guys how you think that your old setting is pro and simulation-like while playing in realistic is arcade :D . Very funny to read. I tell you something, your setting are already badly set and it cant be more arcade actually. I dont get it how can someone play in fair mode + previews on and elite on. That just completely counter-attacking settings you can have in TE online jesus. And still you consider yourselves as pro and hardcore players :D. I just dont get it. Few weeks ago i just came from the other tour to this vanilla to see how is it and i tell some 4060 ELO or alike guy called i think Verdasco or such could not score a single winner in his losing match 1/6 since i was completely superior to him in terms of everything but especially with reflexes and movement( and by movement i dont mean circle dancing like here is very common thing but actually very close running on baseline, why ? because i already used to play without previews and the fact that speed is lower than power of strieks ) when you just come from no preview setting and where the power of strikes are higher than actual speed, and my suggestion for your tour would be if you want to preserve fair mode to switch to simulation controls and turn off all preview but serve, especially i would abandon elite controls since its completely anti-attacking play style settings and especially its awkward in the net with it.
Guess this comment will be deleted very soon since Manu dont like criticize like this.

Manutoo you should count opinion from Top 30 players becoz noobs only know to complain

Heinrich von Westphalen wrote:I prefer to retain old setting and will only play on fair mode ... it's more balanced than realistic mode. We have counter, power baseliner and defenders in top 10 ... realistic is to much arcade / table tennis feeling. Sure, it isn't easy to play with and / or against top spin players, but at realistic mode, we would have no defenders anymore. Just power baseliner and counters.

If realistic mode will come, I wish all players good luck in 2014.

Kind regards,
Heinrich.

Yeah, I have to agree with you Heinrich. Now, we don't have clever playing anymore, what to say.
I played this game for a 2 years and i my opinion is that fair style is the most realistic, but also I want to say that fair mode have a few bugs (my opinion) :

- Counters should have same stamina like other styles (this style is already overuse)
- Spin effect must be reduced on hard surfaces, it's a little bit overuse now
- Like spin, volleys should be reduced (depends of surface), on grass it must stay on current level, but on other surfaces must be harder to play especialy on clay. Why? Last year we have semi final on Roland Garros where winner rushes to the net 76 times in one set. I don't remember reallife clay match on this condition.

With this changes game will be the most realistic ever (all styles will be more balanced). This is just my opinion.

Realistic mode is not good balanced for all styles, so i think that you will have more problems during season to balance this. Maybe game will never be on good level like now.
If realistic mode will come, I also wish all players good luck.

Writing this in a topic full of criticisms ? Is there a "be the Xmas moron" contest running that I'm not aware of ?

Delete,
the Tour is not for the Top 30 players, it's for everybody who wants to play it, even the "noobs" ; the tricky part is to find some settings that can please most people...

A little note against Realistic Mode,
there's 1 point for the Fair mode : as it plays a bit slower than Realistic mode, it means it can be played with a bit more Delay ; in a World Tour aiming to make players all around the world play against each other, it's not a slight point...

Tene wrote:I saw all of your comments. I have to agree and disagree with you on few things. I think you were referring to my game. I think it makes sense because we find such players even in real tennis like Nadal making his opponents tired in rallies and then going for cross-angles and get a winner with a volley or a winner from baseline. But i think you were talking about speed of shots. Yes, i agree that rally ground strokes are slower in fair mode. But then I also agree with my brother pointing about high speed second serving thing in realistic mode. May be Manutoo should solve this problem by reducing Serve% max. limit in fair mode to 70% :)

Correction in my comment: May be Manutoo should solve this problem by reducing Serve% max. limit in REALISTIC mode to 70% :)

ok time for my opinion.... fair or realistic... i am good in both i think... my case is tiredness on or off .. i hope its off cuz vs some ralliers as nadalesque, nadi , heinrich or maryanuchi...(verdasco)... if i make a 30 rally point.. i lose 3 or 4 points after it due to lack of stamina bar and thats unrealistic as i dont see it in real life of course...
but i voted for realistic just to speed up rhythme a little bit :)
another two points i wanna talk about is :
1- Suggestion: a new style should be added which is (Big Servers) as karlovic , roddick , isner etc... those should serve at 200+ km .. will be so fun but also decreasing their ability of rallies too
2- Request: many many noobs vote either for realistic or fair and i dont even see them in a challenger tour.. those votes are shame cuz they dunno how tour even runs on... + tene and n201 vote should be counted only as one because they are brothers.... other way ... my brothers are ready to make an account here ;)

as usual the loudmouth talks  Dream on :D Create your multi-accounts and be banned. Remember if you don't have brother you can't prove it to tour mods or Manutoo--->thereby gets a ban  I highly doubt you have one! Anyways as Manutoo said all opinions count not just of top30 tour players. And i remember many top 30 players are not even good in behaviour ...their opinion revolves around their benefits. Selfish attitude! Not everyone though

Service is the most important thing in tennis, you just can't put is so low(70%). The main problem on fair mode was service being so slow that it was physically impossible to hit an ace(or have decent advantage after it). That's why there were so many breaks in match.
Need geographical tour asap.

EXACTLY !! This is what i said, Serve is almost unuseful in fair mode. In my case, i win as much the opponent serve as mine !!

Best players are 8m behind the baseline line and are able to catch 99.99% of serve

After few matches, i feel the serve impact really better

After a few games on high level it feels like fair mode. But one thing, which was good on fair mode, now is really senseless ... to run around backhand. I practise this to have a good timing on that, but now, it's needless.

Different skills on fore- and backhand was an important strategic element of fair mode which should be exist in realistic mode as well. Maybe a decrease to 83 / 84 (~ 93%) on backhand.

Kind regards,
Heinrich.
