the settings of the Training Club are the ones used to play online, so it's normal to have that player when you play a match while waiting for a host to join.
BTW, have you been able to play online ? Did it work correctly ?

1) in this case, use the download link from your License Key email.
2) Do you use the short strike and/or the short acceleration to do your passing shots ? They are much more accurate when your opponent is at the net.
For the lob, several people reported it was overpowered...

1) Once the stretching anims will be in the game, it'll be good to do a Bug Report when you see an anim giving a too weird result.
2) it's in the engine but I had forgotten to add the option back in the menus ! It'll be in Settings -> Training Club for the next update, thanks to your report !
