by "previous game", do you mean TE2013 or TEM2 ?
I don't have a confirmed plan to improve the strike animations at this point. However, I'd like to do at least 1 forehand in all reaching positions, to compare the result of hand-made animations vs procedural ones (spoiler alert : it should logically be much better for the extreme cases

).
About the missing frames, I'm not sure what you mean ; if you have the time & the mood, could you launch a replay when it happens, pause it on the most explanatory moment (once pause you can advance & rewind by 1 frame by pressing the menu action & lower buttons), and then send me a Bug Report detailing a bit more about what went wrong ? it'll be the same version on Xbox as on PC. I'll likely remove the "Early Version" banner in-game as it's not very useful anymore, and put a message on the game-start to explain the game will still see improvements.

However, Steam Proton works pretty well nowadays, but I get that Steam DRMs aren't exactly in the Linux spirit...
