Maybe noone good enough is playing as puncher/power baseliner? :|

lol, defenders have just spin bonus and 1 extra accel, how can ppl call it overpowered when they have 2 extra accelerations + a pretty big jump at the net...

Since the fact that after ppl started to whine about the general reduced speed, manutoo decided to go back to the beginning of the year's usual movement (almost), and now they got a spin bonus which is for sure gonna be a nightmare on clay for the next months...

Defenders don't have speed bonus so at least this spin makes them called really "defenders"

And they already had one before, but now it's just more fluky. Nvm, I agree with the fact that on clay a defender should always have an edge, it's just that deep fluke spins are also a nightmare to counter on faster and bouncy surfs.

Indeed, I have come to know counter is still overpowered as well  And defender is back to its glory (seen that part with my eyes  )

@adner: I expect such a comment from a severe self-doubter  Well, nevermind... The point is a "perfect" puncher will never beat a "perfect" defender/counter with the way the game has been programmed recently...And no, that doesn't mean they play better...I'm happy to play puncher vs puncher against anyone...not saying I would always win...just why on Earth would I need to adapt to defender/counter styles all the time - I do not want to use those styles. Let's make punchers overpowered (Djokovic is an amazing puncher with great counter "skill", he can generate his pace but he can also use the opponents' pace, Simon/Murray for example can't really generate pace; well Murray can, but in 1/100 matches ) for a change, then you can see how much fun that is? lol... No1 in real life is a puncher...so add two and two together...

Most people playing this game are clueless anyways...they'll accept losing to anyone/anything without seeking the explanations/reasons (or maybe they aren't competitive enough by nature)...Well, I finally found those reasons...so I'm settled now. Cya.

+ unlimited aggressive lobs => making the jumps useless  ;) Plus, all styles have a pretty nice jump with high stats...as manu said...

P.S. Also that short slice rubbish is way too overpowered...haven't played since 2 days or something but I've seen people abusing it already

Like players can hit this shot 100 times a match? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl1b4E4w0sI ...More like 10 times max in their whole career :!:

I have never used an agressive lob as it totally sucks :D fire2 + down lobs are much better lol..
Anyway, if defender style is really overpowered we would see billion of players using it but we just saw 3 players using that style in about 4 years

Stupid, stupid...Counter is completely destroyed and defender is overpowered, while PB and puncher are here and there, nothing special, I think you should improve counter just a little more and improve PB and punchers return... Are you reading this Manutoo?

Manutoo, why do you keep allowing when both players are at the net to defend smashes with the no-shot ? Is there anyway you could tell us how realistic this is ? Is is really something you want players to be able to defend smashes at the net with ? If not you could probably be able to remove it asap...
thanks for commenting on that at least...

Florian,
I just removed some of these counter-smash possibilities, in the last Build. I don't like to make special case rule, that's why I have to tune the general rule till it handles correctly this case.

Maxy,
no worry, I read everything.
