A few questions

Postby Woowhat » 31 Mar 2012, 21:10

Hello TElbow community
I just bought this nice game and have some questions to ask. I read the manual but still want to clear some things before I start my first World Tour career.
Just a couple of questions that are probably already answered somewhere but I would appreciate if someone give me brief answers here :)

Does strokes animations (forehand, BH, serve..) make any difference on gameplay? For example if I chose that Nadal looklike forehand will my strokes get more spin than from some other FH that has same stats but look more flatter? Same for serve, etc..

Second. On keyboard is using an extra button for that acceleration shot better (faster?) than 1+2 combination? How most people play?

Third, if I start World Tour from season 11' how much will take for Federer, Ferrer and a bit older guys to retire?

And last those staimina and tiredness bars at left side of screen, no matter what resoulution I set I only see second half of them. It's not really that much of a problem but still I wonder what's that all about.

One more thing. There is no sprint button? I ask because when I press W letter it seems to me that my player is moving faster, but that's probably only psychological from playing to much football/soccer games

and sorry for grammar, my ''english'' sucks but I guess it's ok with you, no? :)

Hello,

1- no, strike styles have zero difference gameplay wise, except between 1 handed & 2 handed strikes (2h strikes have shorter reach, less power, but more consistency & a counter bonus)

2- I like doing my accelerations with B1+B2, but it's a matter of taste ; I have the short strike & the short acceleration on separate buttons, though, coz it's make easier to not mess up the aiming

3- Fed retires in 2012 ; others usually retire when they get 30

4- I think you're seeing the full bars (if you didn't mod the game), check here to see if they look the same : https://www.managames.com/tennis/screenshot_en.html

5- there's no sprint button ; your player always sprints at his max (he's not far from Bolt's 100-meter world record, on the 1st 20 meters)

hello again
there are two sides of court. first ''normal'' when you start and second ''brighter'' that goes into the sun
so i was wondering is there any way to make the dark version permanent?
don't get me wrong it's a nice graphic detail but the visibility is much worse on the bright side expecialy when played on the red clay

hi
when you turn off the tiredness you don't have to waste points on stamina?
what exactly no tiredness does?

Woowhat,
if tiredness is off, it only affects how many accelerations you can do per points :

Hi manutoo.

1.) What did mean "SubLevel" 1-10 in the game?

2.) I find it very hard to win with an opponent in "Junior" and SubLevel 10.

3.) What is with Auto-Positioning, is it for me or my opponent?

Thanks

Woowhat
from here topic29-2061.php :
When you watch a match, you can press :
- F10 : to skip to next point
- left Control + F10 : to skip to next game
- left Shift + F10 : to skip to next set

Re: A few questions

Hi again it's been a while
2 things with the new version
I find it too fast. I mean it's ok to play and i play online but i like the slower movement better so i ask is there a way to play the previous version again? Only offline i mean cos i had great fun in career mode against old version com. Or to somehow adjust/slow down movements in this version ini. file?
Second thing i have some problems with game performance. No matter what resoulution, details level i set after some time i experience little jerking. My Pc is same as always and i always had all on max but now even on low resolution and minimum details the game is not fluid. I even tried to install on different pc and its the same. When i first time run the game its fine but shortly after it starts to jerk/shake. Not a lot but enough to annoy you. Something is wrong. Any idea what it could be?

Woowhat,
speed didn't really change for the CPU (most of times, he runs without changing much of direction, unlike human players).
But if you want to lower your speed or even the CPU, look here : topic29-4361.php .

About jerking issue, I'm not sure... Try to turn off or on the "VSync Frames" in the advanced Video Options ; check you don't have any program working in the background.
And if you turned on DevMode, turn it back off.
