CC, there's no setting for that in TE2006, that's why I did TE2009...
BTW, u didn't answer my PM... Is TE2009 more enjoyable for u now with the Arcade mode ..?
Brad1981 & btaylor, once again, u got me counting frame by frame Federer's run...
I got 2 examples, where he's doing side steps to come back to the center (so I guess his average speed is between 10 & 15 km/h), and Nadal is hitting a strike in the opposite direction of Federer run, on Masters Cup surface.
In both cases, Federer needs about 0.4s to stop his movement to the center. If we count he has a 0.2s reaction time (which is the average time I measured in my previous frame by frame counting), it means he needed about 0.2s to stop from a 5~10km/h run speed (he lost a few km/h during the first 0.2s, coz he was reaching is correct waiting position), moving about 30cm (one foot isn't moving, the other one just a bit, but his inertia center is).
In the other hand, I counted how much time my player in TE2009 needed when running at ~15km/h to stop and start to run again to reach the speed of 15km/h but on the opposite direction : about 0.65s for the whole process (with Speed & Tonicity at 75%, even not the max..!), and only 0.15s to stop (moving about 40cm), so the player can stop a bit faster than Federer, while running faster, and move a bit more distance (which is understandable, coz the initial speed is higher)...
About the acceleration, I point u to my previous post, somewhere lost in the middle of all my answers in this topic (which stated that the fatest TE2009 player was slightly beating Federer).
Brad1981, somehow, I doubt that u're much faster than Federer ...
I think being on the court and seeing the action from the outside are 2 different things, and if u could see a video of urself & compare with ur player in TE2009, u'll see it's very comparable performance... (but with the TE2009 being somehow faster

)
Like I said in my previous post, just try to run in ur home, and look how much distance u need to stop (on low speed, u can stop without moving ur feet, so in this case, u need to look where's going ur pelvis, so it's harder to measure

).
Pro can get most of shots coz most of shots are not accelerations on the line, also, most of times, they don't move when their opponent is striking the ball, coz they already reached their correct waiting position.
So the problem could be that the CPU does too much accelerations near the lines... I'll have a look into that...
