John Hackenroe,
yes, as stated above, there was a bug. It may be fixed in today's build. Did you try it ?
If already, could you reboot your PC ? (not turn off & on, really reboot)
It fixed that issue for one user on Steam.

PC has been rebooted.

Still the same issue. The Aiming cursor will flicker when I aim and then center itself back to the Center Service automatically. It happens more when I try to aim the return to the right sideline from my end.

I am running the latest build:

To eliminate all doubt, I edited "WT_NewGame" and gave my created player maximum points attributes.

My returns are nowhere near where I am trying to place them.

I have 3 controllers. I tried my older (Microsoft) XBox 360 controller and it is no different.

I'm sorry but this is nothing close to what I was seeing in previous builds.

After more testing, the disappearing/reappearing aim cursor on returns is happening on the right side only from I what am seeing.
The Green area + crosshairs appears when I aim towards the right singles sideline, then disappear and pop up again at the center service line for an easy return for the AI even though I am still keeping the thumbstick aimed to the right.

The issue occurs when I push the left thumbstick Up + Right to aim the return. It's not so bad when moving the thumbstick to the right ONLY but it's hard to keep from pressing up at the same time. I'm not really seeing it happening on returns to the left side (yet).

John Hackenroe,
could you send me a Bug Report so I'll test your configuration on my PC ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

John Hackenroe,
before sending a Bug Report, please download today's update, as I added the current controller state in the log, so maybe it'll give me some hint at what's going on. :fear:

I don't know how the guys play, but I can't do anything. No matter how I tried to approach the ball, meet the ball at different heights, the result is the same - with a powerful blow there are a lot of mistakes. In Tennis Elbow 2013, this was not the case, it was possible to play with a powerful blow with a minimum of mistakes, in TE4, even in the training center, everything flies out. I don't know how you play ...

Sascha3012,
do you play with the Simulation controls now ?
You should likely turn on the Danger Zone & the Aiming preview for a couple of hours in the warm-up mode till you get the hang of the new controls.

TE4 is more demanding positioning-wise, and you also have to position yourself a bit differently from TE2013 ; the main thing is that the average ball length is shorter, so you cannot stand too far from the baseline all the time.

I changed controller configuration back to Default as you said at Steam boards. Only tested a few minutes but the issue looks like it is gone.

This is my Controller:

This what is so confusing about the commands in the new configuration, for me at least. With the old settings, I always used the X button for B1 + B2 (hardest serve & return). I almost never used normal return. By changing X to Acceleration, it was causing the issue I was seeing?

John Hackenroe,
no, the issue (as explained in that Steam thread) was more likely because you were pressing the button in your left analog stick without noticing it. If not this one, it was another button. Now the game ignores the buttons that aren't assigned to anything, so if you press one, it still works normally.
