No. You misunderstood me. I mean, is it possible for a player to play like TE3? Not purely control, but the game itself (before there were fewer shots in the net, there were not so many mistakes with the wrong approach to the ball)

I'm not familiar with TE3. Assuming Sascha3012 is referring to the controls configuration before this current build in TE4, then I would agree 1,000%. Can we please have the OLD configurations as an OPTION back or is that not possible going forward? I know you're trying to make the the controls more realistic by adding more options, but it's too confusing and frustrating at the moment. I see no way in the menu to go back to the previous settings.


I can't continue my current World Tour save like this and practicing is pointless without my current player.

the TE2013 simulation controls are roughly like the TE4 arcade controls in term of chances to put the ball in the net (you can change the Controls in your Character Sheet).
If it's still too hard, you can put Auto-Pos on Fast.

you can set all your strikes exactly like you want with the new configuration menu ; it gives more possibilities than the old one, not less.
The only downside right now is that you can't have alternate up/down to give topspin/slice on your services. Would you like to see them back ?
Else, what particular point gives you problem ?
Did you see the new SubBuild 2021.7.29 ? (one should come today fixing a bug with the gestures and maybe other things)

Even with these changes it is much more difficult to play than in Tennis Elbow 2013. The ball is much more difficult to control (a lot of outs and hits in the net especially, although you fit well, but there are a lot of errors) and the pace of the game is slower than in Tennis Elbow 2013

yes, all this is part of the new stuff in TE4. You'll need a little to get used to it, but hopefully, once you do, you'll see it's overall more realistic than TE2013.

Is the List of Strikes Updated to 7.31?

Is B1 + B2 now Acceleration? How is Short Acceleration any different from Normal Strike? Is there full updated documentation on the new control system?

Player movement is completely off for me compared to previous build. My player(s) often moves when I don't want them to & vice versa. I use Arcade controls and the aiming on my returns seems completely random, not based on skill or ability. This is extremely frustrating. It seems like I will have to lower my difficulty level back to beginner to learn all over again, which doesn't seem right to be honest.

1) You should really not learn the game using Elite controls ; at very least, lower them to Simulation

2) There are actually wider ranges for the Camera, so I guess you have to use the 2D Background, which prevents moving the camera. You need a decent GPU to enjoy the full 3D mode.

it seems there's an issue with the XBox one controller, that makes your player moves even when you press a strike button. Maybe it's what happens to you ? I'll try to fix today or tomorrow.

The strike list info is outdated ; you should refer to the controls menu.

The short acceleration is shorter and faster than the normal strike.

Did you change Aiming of returns?

I have Ball Preview settings at All + Danger + Zone + Aiming

The Aiming cursor is always disappearing and when I am trying to return back to one of the sidelines, it often just goes back the Center Service line area no matter what I do.

It's not just the controls remapping. Something is not right with my controller. I'm using a Nacon Pro Compact XBox controller. Everything was working perfect a week ago.

I can't continue with this build in it's current state.
