Sampreas - is a good guy, we had a couple of conflicts but are now ok, although I consider myself damaged by him last season when I was banned ( there was no offense ).
Algo - I would not comment on it, and the behavior typical for this part of the world, at least as far as tennis...
Heinrich - in my opinion the best modernator, but the situation in the tournament in Busan, I think his mistake, no matter whatever he said...

so I think I should manutoo to lead now forum...that would be great :)

Re: Issues with Tour Draws

ShoNe wrote:I agree with you. 2014, Maryanucci was my opponent usually on singles. This year on doubles (4 times - Rio de Janeiro, Acapulco, Monte-Carlo and now Madrid) I expect him few times this year.

When one of players didn't want to play, Algo (of course) made RL, and that player won?! On my question how that player deserved RL, he asked me: "Are you a mod?" Also, I can't win by RL if Algo did. I remember I won one time by Algo's RL and it should been w.o. But on my question, he said me: Look that as w.o. That is not ok from his side.

I heard he is organizer on one forum. When I wanted to play on this forum, my friend told me: "Rodrigo Valenzuela is organizer and if you need something, ask him". I didn't know for our Algo in that time. But never mind, I don't have proves now.

There are different rules. Actually one rule. (RL 50-50)... For example, Sampreas made RL 50-50 when I couldn't play against Algo because of lag. But after that, Algo didn't make RL 50-50 when I couldn't play with my opponent because of lag. In first case I had more chances for RL, and in 2nd case, I had less chances.

Visible list? Yes, list is visible for mods and their friends. I know that. I am sorry, but I can't be good friends with mods only because of that
.

Perfect agree with u...........the same Heinrich tell me to play these tournament but only now i can see this "rules " about R.L. so if i will sign up for any tournament in every situation my opponent can win for this reason because i must to play the qualification. For me dont ever exist this rules or similar....because i never seen somethink similar in tournament that i had played for many years.
For question about the visible draw probably you had reason
For question about to play with the same players the same times....in ITST that happen to me many time( when i played in top spin 4) so i had to i play in R2 with the number one especially in grand slam;so probably is a mistakes about "botton automatic maindraw"....not volontary about moderator or similar.
Anyway In general the admin and the moderator "never played" in a tournament when they must to have moderated....but the way i hope that they will find a solution because is very strange for many questions....
Send me PM on this forum because i can see the notification by my Huawei

MarkChan wrote:Firstly, the example you provide is not as good as my IW and Miami examples. Barcelona is in April and Acapulco is in February. And they have different number of entries while the main draws in IW and Miami doubles are full. They are also held in back-to-back weeks.

Miami : OT_ViewTournament.php?Trn=801 ; 1st 4 seeds = 1 ; 31 ; 24 ; 14
Indian Wells : OT_ViewTournament.php?Trn=799 ; 1st 4 seeds = 1 ; 29 ; 24 ; 14

Not Same... :sad3:

MarkChan wrote:I think you should just read the many convincing evidences here and look into the ways the draws are made. Your example of Barcelona and Acapulco is much less convincing than the examples players provided here. Now I would just wait to draw VampireZattitude again in Rome and Roland Garros the earliest possible round maybe and I hope at that time you will not tell me it is coincidence again. Because I calculated the probability that I get her so many times consecutively in the tournaments that both of us are present and I get 2/8 (Metz, I am unseeded) X 2/16 (Shanghai, I am unseeded) X 2/32(AO, I am unseeded) X 1/2(Madrid, I am seed 4) so far. [She is always seeded 1] That means it is 0.09%. My probability knowledge tells me this is very rare. I should just play lottery instead of TE maybe.

Like I said, some people need a crash course on probabilities.

A quick example : there are 1 million people with each 1 number from 1 to 1'000'000. I draw 1 number in this range. Each person has 0.0001% chance to get their number drawn. The one that gets it can say "oh my god, that's impossible, I won but I had only 0.0001% chance for this to happen".
But the truth is that there was 100% chance that 1 person wins, so nothing special happened.

Now, I'm pretty sure you still won't get it, so I'm going to explain even a bit more : you don't have to count the probabilities for your own case to happen ; you have to count the probabilities for your kind of case to happen in the whole set. In my previous example, it was 100%. In your case, how much it was ? (hint: the answer is not 0.09%, like it was not 0.0001% in the example above)

Kimiko Date Krumm wrote:about draws.. and mods ..if we have 2 small tournament on a week 250 or atp500 sampreas and heinrich never play on the same tournament ..why? because sampreas can see who will play on the tournaments and he afraid of heinrich thats why he choose the other tournaments...its not so fair ...

1. I was talking about IW and Miami doubles, not singles...
2. Ok you are right I am not a great mathematician since I study arts. But I still think the chance is very rare. I think it must be less than 10% chance probably.
3. Well Kimiko said mods also tell their friends So not only mods have visible draws but mods and their fds... I don't care about this actually since I don't know who are mods' fds. Maybe Kimiko knows since he is here for long. But it is obviously not fair if mods' fds get visible draws while other plays don't. In this case it is not just the 3 mods getting an advantage. But maybe 20 ppl (mods+their fds)

You mean I'm a typical South American? I had a better impression of you.

Mark, bottom line is that we don't disclose any of that anymore, don't live in the past.
Except Heinrich, who does it equally for all an it's also like a separate tour so it's fine.
Tour Mod.

Tour issues by PM or Skype.
If you don't add me nor send me a PM, you might see your chances reduced. Inform me about anything that might have went on with your matches BEFORE deadlines, otherwise, decisions won't be changed.

Whatever you writte Mark, all will be same, nothing will change for sure and some persons will laugh at you, but don't be angry about that, but don't leave attention for that.
I was arguing with all mods, but not Kuga we even didn't talked nothing never. The funniest sentence from Algo was I don't wanna play with someone like you, something like that I don't remember very well, but after that he was the most righteous with me. Heinrich care only about himself and he is arrogant, and don't answer on my all questions (my opinion maybe to you others is good) and tour mods job is to answer on questions. 1 mod said me I don't remember who that he only answer on urgent questions on skype and to ask other mods when he don't replie. Sampreas is busy on college, and I understand him when he don't answer me, and when he is on skype he is mostly online, Heinrich most of the time: yellow I am not here. I played with Sampreas practice matches and he is on of the most fair players. Maybe this don't have too much relations to this topic, but I think that mods should more answer on skype. I just want it to share my view for mods.
And always are same players around me in draw, I mostly lose in 1R but if I had won more times, and I would play with same players.

We should remain with the truth ... you sent me exactly one question to me.

The time I needed to reply I shouldn't comment. So calm down, enjoy the tour and have fun.

Although i completley agree with every negative opinion that have been said about mods and draws , i wont complain since Manutoo is ok with all of it and he dont want anything to be changed so whatever we would say it would make no diffrence...
