Hello,

here's the version 1.0a of Tennis Elbow 4 !

After nearly 9 years of development through TEM2+TE4, I'm finally on the edge of moving on to new projects !

It's still not the end of the road for TE4, though, and I'll still improve the game here and there in the coming years, but once this new version is stabilized, I won't work full-time on TE4 anymore.

Requirements

- OS: 64-bit Windows 7/8/10, macOS 10.12+, Linux Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04 (works on other Linux distros as well)
- 6GB of RAM
- For the 3D courts with high quality, a 3D card with about 5000 points here https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html (to play with 60fps @ 1080p), and DirectX 11 support (on Windows) ; for ~100 fps @ 1440p, you'll need 10'000 points
- For the 2D courts, an IGP or a 3D card with about 1000 points here https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/mid_range_gpus.html , and DirectX 11 support (on Windows)

Version 1.0a - Build 145 ; SubBuild 2025.9.23:

New Features :
- Animation : new motion-captured movement animations (if you prefer to use the Legacy ones, disable Settings -> 3D Match -> Motion-captured animations)
- Animation : now the player walks when you move left/right while preparing your service (only available when the Mocap anim are enabled)

Bug Fixes :
- Strike : the normal strike after the bounce (ie: not a volley) could end too long, even when prepared for a very long time, when standing near the net
- Animation : left players could get their animations mirrored
- World Tour : Pure Junior Players (the ones who will never make it Pro) could get an incorrect skin color
- World Tour : some Junior streaks weren't tracked at all
- Online : now if you only have an IPv6 and no IPv4, you should still be able to connect to the online mode

Bug Fixes :
- Animation : when using Mocap anims, if you were moving at the end of the point, the service animation was corrupted

Changes :
- Animation : disabled the grip of the feet on the ground for Mocap anims so that the overall player movement is smoother

Bug Fixes :
- Animation : fixed a few Mocap animation issues, especially when playing online
- PlayStaiton : it was not possible to connect to the online mode

Build 146 ; SubBuild 2025.10.1:

Changes :
- Anim : lowered the hip jiggling of the running back mocap anim

Bug Fixes :
- Anim : Mocap anims didn't work well with the AutoPos
- Anim : legs were not moving with Slow AutoPos (both with Legacy & Mocap anims)
- Online : fixed the new handling of IPv4 vs IPv6 connection (if you have one, I recommend you try to use your IPv6 as IP override if you have hosting issues, after having opened the UDP Port 4321 in your Router IPv6 firewall)

Notes :
- If you still see the player sliding over 1 meter or more with the Mocap anims, please send me a Bug Report so I can fix that glitch (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

New Features :
- World Tour : if you want to edit your opponent's outfit, add this line to your Tennis.ini, under [WorldTour] : (HowTo => topic19-32161.php )

Note : If you have the XKT Mod, you'll have to wait for its next update before it works
- Modding : it's now possible to play the grunt sounds before hitting the ball (HowTo => topic60-33725.php - "Grunts" section )

Changes :
- AI : the CPU is now a bit smarter to decide whether to rush the net or not

Bug Fixes :
- Animation : the CPU was turning his back when turning around his backhand to hit a forehand
- Animation : when moving backward and doing a forehand, our player could do a 360° turn
- Modding : Fixed the Mod load order for Mods coming from Mod.io ; previously, the load order depended on each Mod's last installation or update date, which could result in invalid saved games, especially when combining incompatible Mods, such as the outdated XKT2023, which doesn't work with newer Mods designed for XKT 4. Many users installed both together, creating unstable game states. This fix should help prevent future save corruption. However, it might also break your current saved game if it relies on XKT2023 (or any other improperly configured Mods). I did my best to strike a balance, but please remember: Mods are created by users like yourself. If their authors don’t follow the recommended guidelines, or if you don’t read their descriptions carefully, I can’t guarantee the game will remain stable.

New Features :
- Animation : added the Mocap animation for the jump when volleying

Bug Fixes :
- World Tour : in the Country Cup, the hosting country's stadium selection could be incorrect
- Animation : fixed a couple of issues with the Mocap
- Animation : the player could do some weird rotation when preparing his forehand

Build 149 ; SubBuild 2025.10.27:

Bug Fixes :
- Gameplay : the jump at the net could be done in the wrong direction when trying to reach a very crossed ball
- World Tour : going to the Load or Save screen with Modded Tour bases could lead to corrupted draws, leading in turn to corrupted rankings
- Animation : the player could still weirdly rotate sometimes (and I'm still not sure I caught all cases... )
- Modding : lowered the corruption chance from entering and exiting the Mod Management menu before the Mod updates are applied

Bug Fixes :
- Gameplay : the net jump was sometimes not triggered despite being needed
- Animation : fixed a couple of cases where the player wasn't rotating in the correct direction
- World Tour : the CPU could save his energy even during 1-set match, leading to unexpected defeats

- Doubles : since the previous update, the ball could go through your player when you were volleying
- Stadiums : the Key Biscayne stadium was corrupted in the previous update (I hate computers ! )
