As for the game and its updates, this is great because it always evolves for the better, getting better is always a game that has life.

If you had taken the time to the read the posts and not only the subject, you'd have noticed I didn't ban Richou for bashing the game ; I let his 1st message there for several days, even if it seemed to be utter BS.
I only banned him when he insulted me, several days later.

AFAIR, only Brecht did a long report about tiredness, asked opinions from other players & no one cared to answer her. I asked several times for opinions about it, but I didn't get much, except for the short initial reports during the Beta test.
If you're able to write what you don't like about the current system without using "stupid, crap, shit" & other stuff like that, I'll be glad to read it.

yup, u got it right, the game is only getting crappier & crappier since 6 years, in my attempt to drive all people away from it. But as I'm a total failure, it had been only driven more & more people to it. How ironic.

So since 6 years, at least 50% of new stuff going into game is from people's comments (both suggestions & constructive criticisms), but I don't pay attention to what you say..?
And it actually might be 80%, but I don't have time to go through the 200+ changelog & thousand of forum's posts & emails to do a precise stats.
And sure, I read all posts from suggestion threads, but a good bunch of suggestions requests a lot of work. Some others just don't really fit with the game.

I did 2 of the stuff requested, and it was 2 big things.
So next time u write something, try to think a bit more, thanks.
I'll let you the joy to re-read the 16 pages & counts all the stuff I did from the suggestions. My guess is that it's around 10% of all, 50% of the feasible ones.

Try to find another game author who wrote that much doing support of his game, answering questions, suggestions & criticisms from the users... You might find some, but you won't find many.

But don't worry, I'll make you right very soon, coz you just shown me your opinion is unworthy to be listened, as it's totally biased (you might have listened to Ero too much, and not read the forum enough, I'd guess... )

I didn't do any big update since the initial released of TE2011 which has been Beta tested. And despite the huge improvements, very few people participated to the Beta test and some terrible bad bug has been only found once the v1.0 has been released... And if I recall well, you were in the ones who pointed out the cause of bug...
So the double desync bug came from a quite minor change, at least on the side of the user, to the way camera is handled in the game. Before it was messy coz it was inherited from the original TE where the camera was 50% 2D & 50% 3D. It required to change some little pieces of code everywhere to get to a clean state.
Anyway, having a side test before the release wouldn't have given much.
1- most probable scenario : no one notices the desync bug (almost no one play doubles online except for the tournaments)
2- the bug is noticed but cannot find the cause ; so I'd have had to release it anyway to get more people testing
It took you 2 months to see the pattern leading to the Desynch. It took me 20 minutes to fix it once you shown me that lead. Unfortunately, when there's a bug that I can't reproduce on my system, I have to relay on people report, like it happened that time.

I'm this close to ban all their kind, I'm very fed up to read all their crap & fighting every morning.

I'll write here my last point abt this subject !
ok , u might be right when u say that this game has attracted more and more players , but can u tell me how many know abt this forum ? most of them are noobs and would play any tennis game even if u give 'em a baseball bat and a soccer ball and u convince them that this is how tennis is played, so they don't really focus on the changes of the game .
but those who really know what's TE and play it regulary , are those who play the online tournies , and here http://tenniselbowtour.webs.com/Singles%20Race.htm u can go to check how many players played this year (they are around 250 if u are too lazy to check ), and u could also remark that a lot of 'em didn't play often ( abt 100-120 who play regulary )
All that to say that the quality of the game isn't necessarily the thing that let the n° of players increase , because if they knew how to complain , I'm sure they'd do it too ! but they play this game just because they don't know any other tennis game online .
I'm not saying that TE is not good , I'm just saying that there are some updates that we could do without .
Now ManuTOO u can dissect my msg to how many peaces u desire , here was my oppinion and it won't change

I take it the phrase "the customer is always right" doesn't apply here. Manutoo, Managames is a small company. Surely listening to the praise of customers who are actually willing to buy your products would be a good thing. Another phrase you might want to heed is "You cannot fix what is not broken". If you've reached a peak build it would seem like common sense to stick with it. Sorry but I have been playing this game for a long time and the game does seem to have decreased in quality to a certain extent and it seems your customers (see Richou, Eronakold, Adner etc) are getting ticked off with these new builds. Ergo, going back to the peak build which in my opinion came out around I think January/February. I realise that since its a new game it might not be possible but thats just my opinion

well manutoo u cant really make a game and expect people to be friendly every time, and i think why people are so mad about the small changes is that the game is so sensitive and it can ruin ur game completly after one little unnecessary update so maybe stop updating so much and let the game stay as it is for a while and gather it all for one important update with good features

First I completley agree with Richou's ban, it had to be done, its only right thing to do.
If he insults someone on any forum he would get banned. So why would it be any different here. Plus, he insults creator of the game, who invested like 10 000+ hours in this game on creator's site, so yea If Im manu I would ban him forever.

Second, as you all know I dont like KZ very much, and he again proved it that Im right, because he really really is talking nonsences non stop. A guess now its like a fashion to "hate" Manu, and he has to be part of it.

Third, altought I agree in some points with Manu, I do agree with players also. You are kind a stubborn, and it takes really a lot in order for you to accept our suggestions regarding ingame bugs. At the end you actually accept it, but as I said it takes you some time.
I told you about movement, other players also were telling you that (but it took some time before you implemented deacceleration or something), I told you about desy it took you a month before you actually believed that and change it.

Also there is one more thing that I dont like, its concerning updates. I really do think that you should be more tolerable to us who bought this game when implementing new updates. Example, we are in the middle of the Wimbledon, but you change several aspects of the game and we ended up screwed.

I do remember when you said to me that players who play tournaments are only minority. It was quite some time ago. But we are here, we bought a game, and we deserve some respect. So if you dont care about tournaments why do you have them on your site? As I see it, tournaments brought you many people, and now those people are turning against you because you dont pay much attention to them.

Fourth. I do respect your work, I think its a great game, brilliant simulation of tennis. I do like to see that you are constantly trying to improve and add new things to the game, and never quitting in doing that. However I dont like that I have to download new version every few weeks. Maybe you could sum up some changes and then place an update once a month, or once every two months.

I dont play world tour at all and as u need the latest update to play online, you gotta take it however it comes..
