Hum, you got a ping result from a host, so it means the network is globally working, despite the freeze. I guess it means it's just an issue with the router auto-configuration.

For the next update (coming likely within a few days), could you do that :
- install the update
- make the game hangs again, and then send me again your player.log
- close the game
- add this line in your Tennis.ini, under [Network] : (HowTo => topic19-32161.php )

- launch the game and try the Online & LAN mode again

thank you and yes i will do exactly as instructed . i actually installed windows 10 via Bootcamp on my iMac yesterday and played 2 matches online. even though this worked on Windows 10 i rather not have to do this since i'm not a fan of windows .
btw i wanted to clarify when I said this (i went back and turned off my firewall since it was off to begin with and now I always get the message). i do not always get asked to allow the connection with it off. Once I restarted my MAC it stopped asking me with the FW setting off.

I added Code: Select all
RouterFlag = 0

to the end of the Tennis.ini file and it frooze. i attached a screenshot. ok i think i did it wrong. just realized you said to add it under network. let me try again

thank you manutoo for your great help. i'm so glad you was able to figure this out for me. now i need to play my first online match on the mac side, hopefully it wont be a trouncing 6-0 set LOL.

hello, so i did a connection test and everything seems alright. it did say your host was reachable only after the help of a NAT push-through. People behind a CGNat won't be able to join you. Does this mean that I am behind a CGNat? Someone has yet to join a session I create. Anyway not sure what this all means. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Do more people use WTET to play online?

So I downloaded and installed the WTET update. When I switch to this profile and try to play online it freezes again. I had to switch it back to default and then it was fine. Do I need to leave it on default profile to play online or is there something else I need to do to be able to use the WTET profile? I do like playing with this profile offline, it does seem a little more realistic.

** same thing happens with XKT Profile as well **. Online seems to only work on default profile.

1) Thanks to your .log, I think I found where the game hangs ; I did a fix, hopefully you won't need the "RouterFlag = 0" with the next update, but I'm not sure because I cannot test on my side...

2) The IP detected by the game is the same as the one detected by the website so I think it means you're not behind a CGNat (I'll enhance the in-game warning in the future). However, the game cannot configure your router (it's where it hangs) so you can host only with a Nat Push Through from managames.com's server. You can still manually configure your UDP 4321 port as explained in the manual : topic8-9923.php .

3) You have to put "RouterFlag = 0" in all your profiles' .ini.

thanks again Manutoo. i also put Code: Select all in addition to RouterFlag = 0. Do I really need that in there or did i just misread the instructions? Also, not sure I understand how to manually configure my UDP 4321 port, hopefully i won't need to do that.

You don't need "Code: Select all", only "RouterFlag = 0".

You'll need to set up your UDP Port 4321 to play against players behind a CGNat. Against other players, it should be fine.

Sorry to bother, when you say set up your UDP Port 4321 do you mean I need to open UDP Port 4321? i tried reading on the link you provided but not sure it's for a mac. The link took to me to network settings and it said not available on Mac OSX & Linux. I also installed windows 10 on my MAC via Bootcamp and I don't get the message regarding People behind a CGNat won't be able to join you so I may just play online via Windows 10 (Bootcamp) even though I hate Windows . Browsing the web on Windows 10 via Bootcamp is impossible (sites sometimes don't open or take forever to load). Basic sites like amazon sometimes take a few tries to open. Not sure if a Windows Update is causing this or Bootcamp. Of course Microsoft and Apple are no help!

looking at my routers manual under firewall looks like I can Port Foward or Port Trigger. Do I need to do any of these for the UDP Port 4321? Ugh, seems a lil advanced but If I screw something up I can always reset my router to factory default
