Yeah right  I paid 40 quid for tps4 and sold it for half the price a few days later :annoyed: due to the fact the game had No depth. Fine the gameplay was there, but come on be serious!! It was an arcade game - You had to win masters tournaments to qualify for GRAND SLAMS! How realistic is that??

I've had this game now for a good few months and i'm no Expert, but practice does make perfect  Don't cry and spit your dummy out because you can't win straight away.

i appreciate what this small game developer has done :applause: They have brought to us the most realistic tennis sim EVER , and with the help of the team of mods it gets even better   :D

I totally agree... But the default game is also good when you are playing online...

I think it's the gameplay which can decide whether a tennis game is arcade or not. Saying that TS4 is an arcade game because the way you qualify for grand slams isn't realistic is very stupid.

the only advice i can give is keep at it - i had the same problems up until recently, but although i'm still not very good, getting the hang of the returning and shotmaking mechanics is the most satisfying thing ever :D it just takes plenty of offline practice

ComeonANDY!! I don't play offline so i dont care for that. You say it has good gameplay but is arcade because of that insignificant detail? Buy the game again and play a few matches online vs good players with all around game. Even if you catch those repetitive shit players bombing with Roddick or something, if you adapt you can win. I've played the game many hours and still haven't mastered a lot of hits. No game is perfect but i find that it gets a lot of things right and there aren't that many things they can work on.

I'm not saying this game is bad, i even bought it because i value the work the developers have done. Maybe it's just the fact that it is not a major developer with a lot of money and personnel that it doesn't deliver overall, but it is getting there. As i said i played ts4 a lot and still fail many shots, so i wonder how much hundred hours you need to start playing this relatively well. I also got this game because i don't have the xbox with me and only play ts4 mostly on weekends. I don't know why i'm rambling about this, just felt like giving my input, but it's probably free time and boredom this week, and some time without playing tennis.
