What a hassle activing this account!

First of all, I tried the demo of Tennis Elbow 4. I like the first person perspective, it looked like looking through a distorted fish lense. Not like TE 2013. I spent 15 bucks on TE 2013, I've already played about a hundred hours on the game, and am loving it.

The french umpire's voice is growing on me. "Game, pleeyah too". I'm liking it. But I have a question. And a critique. There is SOOOO MUCH MORE that managames could have done to make this a great game. Look at Virtua Tennis from Sony for instance. They do in-game shots, they make it look like a real tennis match.

There are some bugs in TE 2013. Three times this has happened. Net "first service", they hit the net again, "first service", they hit the net a third time, "first service". Otherwise, it's a pretty generic tennis game, but I do appreciate the first person perspective. But this game could be 50 times better.

Is it worth the 15 bucks I paid? I would say yes. I won't be getting TE 4 though.

Hello,

for TE4, you probably should have change Settings -> Camera -> Camera Zoom. There's the same option in TE2013 ; both work the same way for that.

About the "first service" bug you mentioned: actually, if the ball touches the net but still lands in the correct box, it's called a "let", and the rule says the first serve is replayed and the chair umpire will announce it. There's no limit to how many times that can happen.

Thanks for the reply. By the way, I forgot to say, I noticed that as you progress in a tournament, like from R1 to quarter finals, to the finals, the crowd grows. I thought that was a nice touch.

I did what you already suggested in Te4. It still looks like looking through a distorted fish lense when I adjust zoom. Why did you choose the Unity engine this time around? Just wondering. I think you have a great game engine with TE 2013. Just my opinion. I think it's perfect.

Unity allowed me to easily add many things. One example : SSAO. Personally, I cannot play a game without it, the image feels too flat...

And the rendering projection is the same than in the TE2013 engine, so I'm not sure what's going on for you. Could you send me a Bug Report when you see that distorted fish lense ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )
And if you have the time, could you send me a screenshot showing your 1st person camera view in TE2013, so I could notice the difference..?

Hmm, understood. I tried the TE 4 demo twice, I personally did not like it. All I can say is, first person perspective in TE 2013 is NOT distorted. It was in TE 4 for me, no matter the zoom level. Sorry to say, I can't be bothered to try it a third time.

By the way, did you by chance voice the umpire in TE 2013? I noticed the french accent immediately. The umpire's voice really grew on me. I enjoy the game.

Give me a week or two, I may check out the demo again. Any chance of releasing an updated demo of TE4? I'm telling you, maybe it's the Nvidia drivers, it looked very distorted to me. I may give it another try.

P.S. Want to ask, are there any more stadiums / night stadiums in TE4? I was disappointed there only seem to be two in TE2013.

1) I update the demo every time I update the full version.

2) There are 21 Stadiums in TE4, and the XKT Mod deeply customizes them for the main events.

I'm sorry that I haven't followed up with you. I WILL try your demo again some time. I broke 5 ribs 3 weeks ago. I was in the hospital, they did a CT scan and found I broke 5 ribs and admitted me. I WILL get back to you, just not right now. I'm still in a lot of pain. Sorry for the delay, manutoo. I fell and hurt myself. Sorry, man.

So I just wanted to say, I'll get back to you manutoo, just give me some time. I fell. At first I was only able to sleep 2 or 3 hours at a time, now I can sleep 5 or 5 1/2 hours at a time (I use the stopwatch on my phone), so I AM improving.

I set the umpire to French as well (Side note, I read that quote like the umpire from Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour for SNES back in the early 90s another great tennis game alongside your mentioned Virtua Tennis for DC).

Now that I found the Tennis Elbow series on Steam, this by far be the best of all because of the unlimited nature of things just like in Real life, The 2 aforementioned classics were pigeonholed with only 16 players & only so much because of the physical medium regardless if it was a cartridge or disc.

I'm just trying to figure out modding which I'm NOT Good with doing at all. But as long as I can get an accurate & Deep rosters & tour from as far back as possible to present, that's all that matters.

Hi, I'm sorry for the incredibly late reply. Life and all...

I just tried it again, and it seems that 38% zoom is perfect, just like TE 2013. It seems I just had to play around with the zoom.

Another question, I'm having a lot of difficulty getting lighting right. It seems over-saturated, and I tried playing with the settings without much success. Do you have any recommended settings?

If the lighting gets completely wrong, restart the game.

If it's just a bit oversaturated, maybe you have changed Settings -> Video -> Advanced -> Rendering Tone.

You can also try to fiddle with : Settings -> Video -> Exposure.
