I'll try to add that...

I assume you meant modding the power levles? Not the body-volley thing above.

I think it's mostly ground stroke accelerations that need adjustment for simulating older tennis (say circa 1985 as we discussed earlier), but also the reguaalr stroke but not as much. Maybe serves too since if you slow down the player with the mtrun cheat there will be an awful lot of aces with very powerful serves. Volleyes, smashes and special strokes (i.e., lob, dropshot) are fine. In older tennis it was harder to hit winners directly from the baseline. So I would suggest values for:

Serve Accel
Serve Regular
Ground stroke accel
Ground stroke regular

That way the other strokes will be unaffected. Or if that's too complicated or too much work, simply

Acceleration strokes
Regular strokes.

Or just accelerations:

Serve accel
Ground stroke accel

The best thing would of course be to have the possibility mod all strokes seperately, to tailor it completely to your preferences, but that might be a little too much ask. There, a little brainstorming!

Thanks a lot for considering this

Plus manu can you please improve Federer's forehand a little bit please? It seems to me that his forehand is too mecanical in the game, can you please make his left hand accompanies his right hand a little longer before he releases his forehand... Please do that because it will look more like Federer's real forehand
This can really help you:

At the beginning you can clearly see the accompagnement I am talking about, plus the forehand has a little bit more rounder shape, begins more below his body(like the forehand number 3), in TE his forehand is just straight forward, verrryyy mecanical, from right to left) so if you can give that a little update, I will be glad :)

Could you make it so that the CPU can do kick serves and slice serves in training match?

Would like to have the option to play just 1 tournament at a time. Like a quick tournament mode, without having to play a season.

About the world tour, can I ask why player's statistics fluctuate so? Example: Carlos Moya in my '09 season has a great start, secures a top ten position, then his stats drop suddenly to the 40s. I understand maybe he is old or w/e but this seems to happen with lots of players. May i suggest a similar thing to what they used to to do in Championship Manager and Football Manager games? In these games each player has stats which are visible but also many invisible stats (temperament, form, pressure play, mental stuff etc etc.). The challenge of this game was this hidden element, players who had high stats wouldn't always be fantastic and these invisible stats played perhaps an even bigger part than what is listed on the sheet sometimes (less so with well known players as they, obviously, had great invisible stats) - in the interface. I realise there is a strong element in TE of form too and i can tell when i player different players on different days when they are playing clutch or not. There are moves in the right direction however when i play players who are outside the top 100 - 150 I find that the disparity is far too much in the visible element. I played Nicholas Mahut recently and his stats were all in the 30s. While we can debate as to whether these are accurate the problem is is that, in my opinion, the difference between rank 29 and rank 129 is not physical (forehand power 30 to 70 as it was vs Mahut) but an ability to sustain top player for a good period. Players in lower ranks should be allowed higher stats, even threatening stats, because getting their game together consistently is often their main problem more so than just 'leveling up' of points. We often see upsets in tennis however vs the CPU this is pretty impossible as the entire tour game is far too reliant on visible stats. The good thing about the championship/ football manager series is that there is this entire undercurrent of form etc.... have a look at one of their editors and it is clear to see how well developed this is.

I've played the World Tour for a while now and I CAN see differences. TBF Mahut did trouble me, albeit slightly, now and then and it ended 6-2 6-0 6-3 however I can see there are lots of that can be done to perhaps change the statistics system to make it more interesting and more challenging. Have a look here http://www.footballmanager.ws/wp-conten ... 00x359.gif. As a 'world' tour' template Champ manager/ football manager is the best because so much is hidden and developing throughout the game, changing each time you start a new one, as it develops.
The good thing about this model can be seen here: OK FED may have 100 'important match' attribute however this attribute is superseded to some extent by FORM/ CONFIDENCE/ FITNESS (injuries etc.)/ MOTIVATION/ etc. The most annoying thing that could happen with hidden stats is that they could become a spamming tactic: i.e. playing fed means he always plays amazingly on break points - ok he often does, 16 times and counting, but we can also cite times when he hasn't just as much- however it is how these stats vary as to form etc. which makes them interesting. I can see how TE has elements of this already however I hope these is just the start of something more complex and exciting :). An exciting thing could be to have a player with average stats, perhaps we could call Ferrer this man, who fights amazingly.Someone like Monfils has so much more in his locker (we can imagine all of his stats being higher i'd expect) but really struggles to A) keep fit and B) maintain a high quality of tennis. Ok simulating clowning is a little far ahead i expect but whatever the case is Monfils has better STATS than Ferrer but his hidden attributes mean he has not been top five or gone far in a GS. As the poster above said Federer is much easier to beat than Nadal, the problem here is that Fed's ability to win titles doesn't translate to the court just as much as a defender is harder than a 'normal' player. We need to talk about 'match play' attributes and not just stats.

Borisdenominator,
all of that requires a tremendous work on the IA (or at least some very well thought tunings), but hopefully one day I'll get to it..! ;)

I realise this, absolutely, but, currently, how are player's 'fates' decided as far as the world tour is concerned? Why does X players stats fall dramatically and another rise? Is it preset?

Borisdenominator,
each year, each player has a rank objective, and all his skills are tuned so he'll achieve that rank (approximately).
You can easily change these ranks, if you want to ; look here for more info : topic29-4059.php .

I have already written this but in case it hasn't been considered: The shirts are not realistic because they are veeeery short they basically stop almost BEFORE the waist while nowadays it practically comes to the (le derriere si tu vois ce que je veux dire :P ). If you can just make it longer it would be really good (considering all you have done to improve the game this is basically nothing for you manu ;) ) :
