So I've been playing TE2013 for over 6 months and only just thought to see if a forum existed. I've fiddled around various settings and I guess you could say I've hit a "wall" in that I can't figure out how to improve. I've realised (for me anyway) sublevel 10 is bull since the opponent just doesn't miss (I think I read on a post that apparently master sub10 is approx incredible sub1 which from personal experience I disagree with. I find incredible sub5 easier than master sub10).

A few things I've noticed when compared to the AI is that I can't hit outright winners anywhere near as easily or ace them as easily as they ace me, even if my serve is bigger. When on the run or having stopped just before hitting the shot the AI is massively more accurate than I am. The latter ties in with my issue with elite controls in that the aiming radical decreases in size too slowly - I've stopped/setup then the stroke occurs and if I've aimed anywhere near the lines, even if only a tiny sliver of the radical is out that's where the ball will go. What's my issue with this? Well in a high intensity point just because there's only 1 sec between stopping and striking the ball rather than 3 doesn't mean I'm going to miss.

Anyway, my point here are these are my experiences, is this just the way the game's programmed or are there things I can do to improve without having to camp 6ft behind the baseline? (Hence the title, asking for tips)

Hello,

1- if you beat Master-10, you're not a newbie since a long time !

2- Incredible-5 is better than Master-10, assuming you & the CPU have the same skills

3- Personally, I'd rather lower my skills and keep playing against Master-10 , as it might be more realistic, as Incredible has superhuman fast reaction time

4- You can play with Arcade controls if you don't like the precision scheme in Simulation controls

Thanks for the reply. I think I've only played master10 and incred5 a couple of times - both times I lost to the master10 and I think I beat the incred5 once. Well anyway, are there any tips for improving accuracy/lowering the chance of a miss? During play I mean. There are the obvious like lining up properly and what not, but sometimes I find I miss shots that I shouldn't. Are there any tips to hit winner/aces more frequently too? I find I get beat in those departments quite frequently by the AI and I can't figure out why.

1- if you don't play with the Danger Zone, turn it off ; misplacement up/down could explain the missed shots ; if you still don't see what's going on, turn on the aiming zone till you figure out everything, it's the best way to understand the mechanism ; additionally you can turn on the DevMode (ie: look for DevMode in Tennis.ini -or the .ini of your Profile if you created one- under [3dEngine], and set it to 1 )

2- at Master & Incredible levels, CPU has better reflexes than you have, so it's normal you get aced more than him ; you can change this in the .ini with search.php?keywords=AiSlowerReturner .
