Hi Manu, since yesterday's update the game animations glitch in several ways. I reported a bunch already in-game but I'm posting here as well to add to those reports.
The two biggest ones are:
- the new forehand anim gets activated at wrong times when trying to hit a simple backhand. The character runs around to hit a fh with that new anim.
- the character does a "glitch slide" for half a second when moving to the side, where the character just skates through the floor with no anim. This one happens constantly, I played on warmup for 5 mins and saw it lots of times.
And overall, the whole movement seems strange. Stiffer. More rigid. Like the anims stop half a second prior to impact, or they do a weird movement that was never like that with the legs. Especially seen when hitting on the run. Just really weird stuff overall.

1) It should be fixed in today's update

2) Did you play with the SubBuild 2026.5.7 ? Was it better ?

Yes, now both the inverted forehand, and also the "glitch slide" seem to be fixed. Thank you!

Though I swear I still find the anims at the exact moment of impact different. Especially when hitting on the run and especially on the backhand (which leads me to believe the new run around forehand anim has something to do with it, though here I'm just guessing). And I can't quite pinpoint the exact problem. Something about the footwork doesn't seem quite right. Different to the way it's always been. Character does something different with their feet when the shot anim gets initiated, or something like that. It's strange cause like I said, I can't say exactly what it is. It just feels a bit weird.

I have the exact same feeling but I don’t know how to describe it accurately. Something feels off. I have even noticed player skating on the court sometimes.

you can send me a Bug Report right after your player skates (preferably within the 1st few points of your match, or resumed match). (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

You're going to need to be more specific, because I'm not sure if you talk about your player or the CPU. I saw your player doing a kind of stutter, but he followed your input (left - neutral - left - right), so I'm not sure it was what you noticed.

You did that, you're the one who control your player... Oh jeez, should I be explaining this..? ':D

When the player's strike purpose was cancelled (eg: his opponent's strike ending in the net), it was indeed leading to a weird anim. It is now fixed for the next update, thanks to your report ! :yes:

There you were running forward and hit the ball very low, so the dynamic animation system did what it could to put your racket in contact with the ball, without making your player bend on his knees (as he was running). It is unfortunately a limit of the system.

I couldn't notice anything special.

racquet did a weird "double" swing prior to impact

You were running forward and the game anticipated the impact based on that, then you pressed your strike button, and thus slowed down, and so the game adapted its prediction.

character did a 360 before hitting that forehand

There was a little rounding error to check on what side the ball was, leading to that issue. It's fixed for the next update, thanks to your report ! :yes:

character tried to hit a volley way later

I cannot notice it ; on the last volley, where your player cannot reach the ball, and his hit time is exactly when the ball is on his level... :fear:

character does a fh when I was trying to hit a backhand

Once again, you were positioned to do a FH... :unsure:

I think part of the issue is the inverted forehand animation gets activated too quickly. Here I might've misjudged a bit I admit, but the inverted forehand anim gets activated basically as the ball is crossing the net, not giving me any time to adjust manually to my own imprecision, if there's even one on the first place. Cause it feels like the animation is literally pushing me into overunning the ball xd. I think the anim unnecessarily "chooses" the shot for you and it does it too early at that. It limits movement rather than make it more fluid.

If you're positioned to hit a FH, it's normal your player is starting to do a FH ; it's be much more problematic if he didn't.
The animation isn't doing anything ; it's always you who control your player, except if you press a strike button, or if you start to run in the opposite direction of the ball, and then release left/right ; but it doesn't apply here.

When the player was changing his mind about turning to run, the IK was changed completely instantly, leading to this weird behavior. It's also fixed for the next update, thanks to your report ! :yes:

character in black does a weird ainm after hitting shot.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Right before your last strike, you move a bit, which leads to switching from a forehand to a volley forehand, so the preparation stutters a bit, but it's expected with such a kind of change.
