Hi

We have two computers in the house:

1. A Windows 11 computer with an amd processor, 32 GB ram and a nvidia 3060 graphics card.

2. A SteamDeck

I bought Tennis Elbow 4 on Steam, and while it runs very nicely on the SteamDeck, I have extremely long startup times on the Windows computer and it crashes every now and then (or freezes) in the menus.

What could I do to improve this on the Windows computer?

I have no idea why it does that ; maybe Win11 does many security checks...

Or maybe you have an old & slow mechanical HDD ?

If you want, you can send me a Bug Report from the Main Menu on Win11 and I'll check if the engine detects anything unusual, but it's unlikely... (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

Hi Manutoo

The Windows 11 machine has a M.2 SSD harddrive so that shouldn't be the issue.
I have sent you a bug report with my username.

As mentioned in the "Steps to reproduce" the issue (besides the menu crashes) is that at startup time the game loads a looong time with just a black screen.
This doens't happen on the SteamDeck.

From the bug report I'm guessing you will see that I installed the XKT mod - The Issue existed before I installed that.

You have a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and load the game with the XKT Mod in 9.9s.
I have a Ryzen 9 5950X CPU and load the game with the XKT Mod in 6.0s.

According to this website https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/32 ... en-9-5950X , the 2600 in single thread is 35% less powerful than the 5950X, so I guess your PC is alright.
