Hello Manu,
The progress of the TE4 game is just amazing. I have never played more realistic tennis game than this :applause: :applause: . Besides some new expected animations (lunging, low shots anims...) which will make the game look very nice, there are a few frustrating features. :thinking:

1) Autopositioning bug - I'm using fast autopositioning because I'm trying to play TE with gamepad :mrgreen:
- when a AI opponent hits a cross court short strike/short acceleration or drop shot, the fast autopositioning moves my player to the opposite site

2) Shot after lob - already in TE2013, everytime when I lobbed my AI opponent, he tried to smash a lobbed ball (it looks very buggy) - and it always ended in the net
- suggestion/question: Are there plans to solve these in game situations? - with tweener, trying to get back in to the rally with normal shot, other lunging anims to just return the ball

3) Net play- in my opinion it is maybe the only unrealistic part of the game
- AI don't try to hit powerful winning voleys and is not aggresive in a passing oportunity
- it is also still almost impossible to hit down the line winner - I think the reach is fine...but the reactions of players are maybe to fast
- sometimes (after drop shot) it ends with a long rally on the net

++ (edit) 4) I forgot to mention white silhouette bug which happens for player models in character sheets sometimes

P.S. I'm not a programmer, I'm just dreaming about realistic and perfect looking tennis game. :lol:

Hello,

0) I'm glad to know you enjoy the game :)

1) I'd need a Bug Report for this (HowTo => topic5-31732.php ) ; try to tell me on which strike it happened in the report

2) Yes, this is part of the "oh I can strike a ball I didn't plan I could" which I should fix for the CPU ; hopefully, it'll be for next year :blackeye:

3a) I'll try to tune the CPU passing ability in the future

3b) You were really very far from the baseline for that DTL passing, so it's normal it didn't succeed, especially as it didn't look strongly hit.

3c) Net battles are already a huge improvement if you compare them to TE2013's ones... ':D Maybe I'll tune them some more.

I got your Bug Report (BTW, why didn't you send it from the game ? Your gaming PC isn't connected to the Internet ? :fear: )

Unfortunately, the replay didn't work (I'm not sure why ; it happened with someone else as well, so I did some checking and the .dmo's I created all replayed without a problem so it's quite mysterious).

Anyway, I tried to reproduce the bug on my PC, and it was easy enough so I located it & fixed it for the next update, thanks to your bug report ! :yes:
