this issue is the post : topic37-19739.php#p202391 .
It was written immediately after the match was suspended, and it's a clear consent to go on later. If he had wrote : "vampireZattitude left without my consent, I want this to be counted as a retirement", then that would have been a different story. (*)
There's also another issue : it's that Kuga didn't use the built-in RL system because he wanted to raise the chance of Markchan (to do a 50/50). Maybe he cheated the result, maybe not ; I guess at this point there's no evidence either way.

And no, we're not going to replay the whole season... The only changeable thing at this point is the Davis Cup final (as PK is in final). I can't talk for Algo, but I have a strong guess that he'll put in final the country that lost against PK... ;)

(*) Quick tip: don't sweat on the commas in the rules ; here we're respect the spirit of the rules, not necessarily the letter ; if you can't get that, then don't even try to argue... In the present case, it means that everything that is written in the rules must be done in case a player leaves the match and then contest the protestation of his opponent.
From another point of view, instant consent then delayed protestation = possible trick, so it won't count.

Oops, I was so focused on the posts below that I didn't see the first few posts. Well in that case, the issue is a grey area because whether or not Mark meant it in that manner remains to be known. Perhaps he didn't mean it that way, and in the heat of the moment it probably didn't come out the way he wanted it. But unfortunately the specific words used doesn't help his cause irrespective of which way we look at it, so I agree, it makes it sound implied. I suppose there's a good lesson in these circumstances: choose your words wisely.

Still, his opponent is not out of the woods either. She breached the opening stages of the rule: "If you start a match, be able to end it ; if you only have a short available time, tell your opponent before starting the match...". I can assume two things; she ignored this rule deliberately and hoped to get away with it, OR she had an oversight and didn't know about this rule. Whatever the case, she should at least be warned about this breach, but it definitely should not be ignored.

Keep in mind that I have no intention to defend either Mark or Vampire. I'm merely speculating this issue at my angle. Food for thought.

As for replaying the whole season, obviously not because we have no time for this. But I'm suggesting for the more recent ones (eg. Shanghai), perhaps they should be looked into. As for DC, yes, it's a no-brainer that Croatia should be in the final.

It is possible. Sheraz aka Kuga told me on skype he is a computer engineer. It wouldn't be difficult for him to pull off these tricks...

Being an Electrical Engineer I know few tricks to do it.....and a Computer Engineer has a whole lot of possibilities in doing this.At the end of the story, what did he get for doing all this---> :blackeye:

He was trying to reach top 2 spots. Not sure (check rankings :aureola: ), but if "Sheraz" won Shanghai that would have been completed perhaps

Then he would have probably made a thread to laugh at the whole Tour :fear:

If that was the case, I feel sad for the poor kid who put a lot of effort just to prove that this tour is a joke.... playing so many tournaments and get nothing than an evil laugh :pottytrain4:

MarkChan,
I confirm what you have now figured out : Kuga did a manual RL, which means he could have done anything. Normally, in that case, Tour Mods use a website that gives random numbers. If a Mod does a lot of manual RL that always end up in favour of certain people, it's a good idea to warn me about it... ;)

LetsGoBro,
the way to read the rule is : "if you want to stop at some point in the match, you have to get your opponent consent before hand, else if he doesn't consent in middle of the match, then he can ask for a .ret result and it'll have nothing you can do about it (except "magically" being able to go on playing)".
It happens that some people have to stop the match unexpectedly ; in that case, if they get their opponent consent to stop, then even though they didn't warn at 1st, then it's all good.

Nadalesque,
maybe there's a Sheraz somewhere. Kuga & Sheraz' Online IPs & Forum's IPs are a bit of mess. But this year, out of 3 matches that they should have played together, 2 didn't happen (I just checked Rome), and 1 ended with both players having the same IP. If they were 2 different players in 2 different locations, that just couldn't have happened like that.

Stajus,
it's not really possible to cheat online at TE without being caught in the long run (due to the way the engine works).

Kuga answered to me in the Mod reserved Area. He denies everything. Which is a bit puzzling. Either he doesn't understand that the technical proofs are terribly against him, or he just denies like most usual suspects do... :fear:
If he wants to explain what he did exactly and why, I'll be all ears, and I guess other people will like to know as well.
But anyway, it doesn't matter much now.

Really manutoo tour mods gonna give him just a ban? This deserves pernament ban, I mean he was MOD to be mod it has to be a honour and you must have a big responsibility to do your job..And what this guy done? He was n1 and n3 at the same time, leading Pakistan to good Davis Cup results at the same time, really idk this guy I never played with him, but how he played both diffrent styles, how could anyone thought that he is the same guy, his tactic, just amazing.. but in the end I guess Hernic did played with both of them and had an idea like this, and it seems that it is real, the same IP adresses, how you can hide that.. Actually if this guy returns how can you belive that he will not have another account? So that's why he deserves pernament ban..

I think Kuga bought this game. It means he deserves to play with all its features. He didn't offend anyone illegally. However he cheated. I think a temporary ban is enough. A permanent ban on him is too cruel :fear:
