Guys, I just want to share my happiness.
R2: Petr Kroppe def. Mohamed (5) 5-7 6-4 7-6(4)
What a huge game. And what a drama. Im exhausted.
In first set we went nip and tuck, holding services. But at the end I wasnt able to handle pressure. Also I had huge problems with hiting winners (as usual ;p) . I did 7 winners, while my opponent 19.
Before 2nd one I promised myself that I put as offensive play as I only can generate. And it worked! I started with 4-0 leading, but then he catched the game and made 4-3. Luckily I was able to hold my service to the end. Also in this set i did 17 winners against 12 of Mohamed. My offensive play worked.
But 3rd set was as nervous as hell. I begun with quick brake and was leading 2-0, 3-1, but game by game he was able to return better and better. Finally he pare loses.
When was 5-5, I did a break, then was serving for the match, and lost this game. Tiebreak decided. Its my first quarterfinal in tour. I didnt play any QF since Im playing in tour (11 months), even in futures, or challengers i didnt achieve QF.
If I lost today, leading 3-1 and *6-5 in 3rd set it would be such a hard for me.
Mohamed, thanks for play. For you, its not significant tournament and lost, for me its great victory and milestone in career. Good luck in Wimbledon. Hope youre not in my draw, cause Im sure im still amateur comparing to you.
