Load Training Player 1 to World Tour (with 100% skills)

Postby overcaffeinated » 01 Nov 2016, 15:20

Hello, I have searched for quite some time on the forum to try and find an answer, let alone a similar type question, however, cannot seem to find this. I previously had a player set at 100% skill level for all options by following the information in this thread topic1-472.php?start=15, as I (eventually) shared the sentiments of the original poster of this thread.

However, since I recently finished this most recent career, I created a new player with a tour start date of 1990. Since creating this new player, I have not been able to get the 100% skill set to translate to the new player, despite modifying the tennis.ini file; then tried creating a new profile and copying across the required settings; updating the Player 1 profile in the Training club to 100% settings, but never being able to import that player to the World Tour.

What are the steps I need to take to be able to create this new player on the World Tour to have them set at 100% skills? I honestly don't care to play at a lesser skill set as I did that since 2005/6 and got frustrated a number of years later where I lost enjoyment of the game from being more focused on trying to have settings to be competitive.

Thank you.

Hello,

you might have started a Seasons mode instead of Full Career mode, in which there's no training and thus no cheating possible.

Restart in Full Career mode and then the explanations in the link above will work.

Hi manutoo,

Thank you for the prompt reply and information. Unfortunately, I was creating a profile in Full Career Mode. Despite trying this numerous times, I simply cannot get the skills to be as they previously were at 100% and non diminishing training days. I have followed all the steps that you suggested in the above link:
....so save your game at a training session, exit, change the .ini, launch the game again to check everything is alright."

Since trying again, I have:

1. created the new player in Full Career Mode;
2. Started the World Tour
3. Selected a tournament
4. At the Training screen, the only "save" option I can see is "Save Player to Training Club" so I take this.
5. Exit the game
6. Change the "tennis.ini" file.
7. Launched game
8. Go back to world tour and have there is no option to update the skill levels without being restricted by training days.

This happens regardless of the .ini file that I use - i.e. whether it is the default or a new profile that I have created. All settings are the same across both profiles.

I have tried the following settings (which I previously successfully set) and no luck.

[WT_Training] // every day, Skill = Skill * Dim
DimClub = 1
DimJunior = 1
DimPro = 1
DimMaster = 1
DimIncredible = 1

ClubPbH = 2.0 // Training Efficiency
JuniorPbH = 9999999999.0
ProPbH = 1.5
MasterPbH = 1.0
IncrediblePbH = 9999999999.0

ClubGain = 1.75 // Experience points modifier
JuniorGain = 9999999999.0
ProGain = 1.25
MasterGain = 1.0
IncredibleGain = 9999999999.0

Any further thoughts, please?

Thank you.

Change ClubPbH if you play in Club difficulty, ProPbH if you play in Pro difficulty, and MasterPbH if you play in Master difficulty.

Hi manutoo,

Thank you again for the additional reply last week. Unfortunately it still is no longer working for me. I have been playing in Master Difficulty and occasionally on Incredible. No matter what I try, it no longer works for me. I have even gone to the extreme of completely uninstalling the game and wiping all files from the install directory and installing the game from scratch. No change. I just cannot figure why the settings no longer work, when the worked through my most recent 15-year career. I am not sure what more I can ask you to perhaps suggest, if there is anything left that could be suggested.

Perhaps time for me to take a sabbatical from the game as I just no longer have the patience or desire to start a new player and work on the balance.

Appreciate your time to respond to my posts :-)

Maybe try to install the game in "C:\Tennis Elbow 2013\" instead of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tennis Elbow 2013\" .

Thank you, Manutoo.

Sadly, no, that option of a "C:\Tennis Elbow 2013\" didn't work either. I am just not sure what is going on and why this time, despite using the identical settings to when I previously did this, it will not work.

Final question I can think to ask: have you tried this on your side and were you able to get this to successfully work?

Would you have a sample tennis.ini file that works on your machine to provide 100 skills for all cateogories, that you could provide that I could test out to see if the settings will actually apply on my side?

I checked and actually you should also change the correct xxxGain before getting XP points. You can have 500 XP max, so you'll need a few training sessions before reaching 100% everywhere.

eg:
Code: Select all
ClubPbH      =   200.0   // Training Efficiency
JuniorPbH   =   100.5
ProPbH      =   100.5
MasterPbH   =   100.0
IncrediblePbH   =   100.0

ClubGain   =   100.75   // Experience points modifier
JuniorGain   =   100.5
ProGain      =   100.25
MasterGain   =   100.0
IncredibleGain   =   100.75
