Volley action, extreme! I finally beat this Djokovic! I played him so many times and lost. I had been having to volley with almost every point to win, but this time, I combined that with taking advantage of his lame second serve and also with hitting the ball as hard as I could and as an extreme an angle as I could several shots in a row when he was serving. I had to use top spin shots often to be able to clear the net when I was too close to the ball, but I made it!
ManuTOO, about the only volley shot, I guess, that I seldom used was the volley drop shot, as it was pretty difficult to use. However, I have used it many times in previous matches with him with much success. Often, it is useful to bring him just a little closer to the net so that I can pass him easily after he returns it. Also, you may want to do something about his second serve. It is almost always to the same, or almost the same, spot. Only a few times maybe during this match did he change it. Since I knew pretty much where it would come to, I was able to hit it quickly and hard, such that I often hit a winner return.
Now, concerning realism, is it realistic that this Djokovic should be able to run so much during one match and return 5 - 6 extremely angled volleys per point, often three or four times in a row? If you will watch the match, you will see how many times he gets to balls that seem impossible to return. You may see this and decide that it is just as it should be, and that is fine, too, as I really enjoy it either way (and I am no tennis expert, anyway).
