I have a problem with the topspin too, I feel it's too overpowered compared to other shots, and it feels like a bug shot. I wish it was removed from the game. I never use that shot myself, unless I notice my opponent is using it, then I might use it a couple of times during a match. But I don't like it, and avoid using it.
I thought it was an okay shot, I thought the key to return it was with fire 2, but I have noticed that often the ball goes to the net even if I use fire 2 to return it! It's extremely annoying and I really don't have the motivation to figure out all the complex secrets and choreographs required to return these shots, lol, so I wish this shot was balanced out, and was as simple to return as all other shots.
I'm just using my match againts Bajko as an example, again I'm not claiming Bajko cheated, it was completely okay that he used that shot in our previous match but my tactic was to rush the net a few times in a game and stay back a few times, and I won points well for a while, then when he used the spinshot I couldn't win many points serve and volley because the ball went to the net no matter what I tried and what button I pushed. And that kind of destroyed my game. lol He could have won without that shot too definitely he was playing well but it really was annoying. I used it too about 4 times but since he didn't have problems returning it was useless. I have to give him credit for knowing how to return it, but as I said, this way the matches are centered around that shot and it's overpowered, some know how to return it, some don't, and it has an effect on the outcome of a match. Something needs to be done about it. I hate when these new kind of shots come out of nowhere and totally mess up all the skill I have gained in TE.

And you broke me with this lob cause once it kicked on the court I hit it in the bottom of the net...
