Difficulty in Career ?

Postby Drinkwater1975 » 13 Nov 2024, 20:40

I would like to ask, at the beginning of a career where do you set the difficulty level? Then, can you change your career once you've started?
I continue to sometimes have the game tripping in certain situations.....who can help me? :)

Hey,
In the very first screen after clicking to start a new career it should be down after the other options, you can choose Club, Junior, Pro, etc., and the sublevel 1-10 (both look like colourful bars). You can change the difficulty setting at any point between matches. Just go to the page with your opponent's stats (typically appears before every match) and you'll see the same bars at the bottom left of the screen. You can adjust the difficulty there. In match, I think the only way is to abandon the match, choose 'continue later', then come back and change the difficulty as above.

They are just variations within the levels, so Junior 1 is easier than Junior 2, 3, etc. From what I understood, the difference from, say, Junior 9 to Junior 10 is much smaller than from Junior 10 to Pro 1, though. So the sublevels are sort of small adjustments, while the levels are bigger changes in difficulty.

Hi, I’m trying to figure out which difficulty setting feels the most realistic. Specifically, I’m looking for a level of challenge where the AI is competitive but also prone to making more errors when it tries to change the pace or force a shot. I’ve tried "Pro 10," but I’m almost always forced to hit a winner to score a point; the AI rarely makes mistakes when taking risks, so I constantly have to play defensively until I can hit a winner myself. Is there a setting I can tweak so that forced shots are more likely to go out? Or there is a difficult?

I managed to tweak things a bit using the hidden settings.
The one thing I’d like to do is increase the likelihood of my opponent making errors; they are too precise and rarely make mistakes (the ball always goes in).
I’d also like to increase the error rate for my own shots to make the gameplay more dynamic... Which hidden settings should I adjust?

Try changing the controls to ELITE instead of simulation, it changes both you and the PC to use elite controls which makes the precision of shots lower which means more errors for both you and the PC.

Thanks for the help!
Things are going a bit better now since the AI isn't perfect—I'm playing on "Master 1"; do you think that's the most realistic difficulty setting?
Also, I’d like to know if there’s a way in the hidden settings to slow down the AI's acceleration, because I really struggle to handle their shots when they're accelerating.
Thanks again.

PicciKawhi2,
you want to lower the attack of the CPU without making him less good at defending, right ?
In such a case, lower his difficulty level, and raise his running speed a bit => topic29-2537.php (HowTo => topic19-32161.php ).

It's not possible to lower the CPU acceleration quality except by lowering his difficulty level.

Okay, thanks a lot... does the same apply to increasing the opponents' error rate? Is lowering the difficulty level the only way? Or can I tweak something in the hidden settings?
Anyway, the game is amazing; even though I’m a huge, die-hard football fan, I’ve never come across a sports game of this caliber—that’s why it’s worth my time.
