Hi,
Sometimes when I play online, with the XKT patch, pretty much at every point there are problems with desynchronisation. The game resynchronises, but then desynchronises again shortly thereafter, so that the points keep getting repeated. This seems to happen especially when I choose to play with specific players, such as Sinner. Any clues about what the issue might be? (I play on Xbox S, in case that's relevant)

Hello,

usually, it's because the animations aren't the same on both consoles/PCs.

Have you installed Nard's Anims Mod a long time ago ? If yes, disable it.

I did, but I have it disabled when I play online (switching to red on ModManagement and restarting the game). I'll try and just uninstall it, then, and see if it helps. Thanks once again for the help!

Quick update on this: I did some testing, and it seems some courts are causing the problem. I tried a match with the same players in Montecarlo (worked fine) and then in Rotterdam (desynchronisations at every point).

Hum, maybe your opponent changed Rotterdam court physics, but that'd be quite strange...

Now the problem has become constant. I basically cannot even play the first ball in an online game, as I get continuous alerts of desynchronisation... This happened with 4 different players in different courts.

I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, uninstalled the xkt patch, reinstalled it, and no joy. Is there a version difference between pc and xbox, perhaps? I think the last update I got on Xbox was over a month ago.

I checked your log and nothing seems odd.

You get desyncs with different opponents, right ?

Could you try to play without any Mod to see if it still desyncs or not ?

In a couple of days, I'm going to update the game, so maybe it'll help. (although it's unlikely, forcing reinstall of game files could have some effect, I guess... )

That's right, I get desyncs with different opponents, with different players selected and in different courts.

I'll try to play online without xkt this weekend and will report back. Looking forward to the update in any case!

By forcing reinstall of game files you mean the player files, not the game itself, right? I can try that, but wouldn't that just make the Xbox sync and download the same files again from the server? (I had tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling, but that didn't help)

Reinstalling the game, and/or possibly the Mod, has very little chance of helping, but it's never zero, because data corruption can happen. (that's why on Steam it's often recommended to do a game file verification before doing anything else).

Tried that too, including the player files (so uninstalling also xkt), and it didn't help, unfortunately. Is it just me having this issue, or is it an Xbox against PC issue?

I don't think it happens to everybody between Xbox & PC because no one else reported this issue ; but it doesn't mean either that you're the only one having it, because it's common for people not to report the issues they're facing...

I saw in the logs that you played a match without desync last night. Is it correct ? Did you change anything ?

It's funny that it started sort of out of the blue. It would happen every now and then with specific courts or players, but then it became generalised to every match. And I don't think there were any updates in between, at least on Xbox. I'll see if I manage to test with a friend without the mod this weekend (it's difficult to find players without xkt online).

I managed to play last night because I have a steam copy too I have to put the graphics at minimum because my pc is not good for gaming, but it's good enough to have fun playing.

Did you manage to play without Mod ?
Another Xbox user told me he had desyncs as well, with only the XKT Mod like you.

Once I'm done with the PlayStation port, I'll publish the new Xbox update, and if it doesn't change anything, I'll try to take a bit of time to look more into that...
