I'm really struggling to understand what I'm doing wrong.

I don't like skill diminishment (understand the idea, but it's hard enough to build a player up to max stats without skill diminishment) and I've gone into Tennis.ini and set dim for all game difficulties to 1. However, every time I start a new tournament my skills have diminished. It's really becoming frustrating to the point where I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's another .ini somewhere overriding this.

It was never an issue on TE2013.

I've already done all that, Manu.

As you can see in the screenshot I've included, all my diminishment settings for every difficulty are set to 1. But when I go to a new tournament in world tour, I get diminishment.

Bear in mind, this is not a Steam copy. I download each update and install manually.

Same problem. Skills diminish despite setting them to 1.

you didn't follow the steps linked above : you changed your Tennis.ini instead of your profile .ini which is XKT.ini .
