How I can play as or against a real player in the Training Club?

Postby Brad1981 » 01 Mar 2022, 02:06

Thank you! Another question, in the Character Sheet in Training Club mode, is it possible to load real player info, so that I can play as or against a real player (either ATP or WTA, current and former)? When I click on "Load Player", there is no option to select a real player, just a customized player.

Manu, when I import players in the Training Club and then play a match, the CPU is not serving hard first serve, unless it is Sampras. Federer 1st serve doesn't go above 110mph mostly. I have the setting set to Free Mode for offline. Could you check to see if this is a bug or not?

Did you adjust their level ? It's not saved/loaded anymore in TE4.

I tested and it worked correctly.

Could you send me a Bug Report while playing a match with Federer serving too slow ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

I did more testing. And when I play at Pro level 8 or higher, the 1st serve is full speed. Anything less, and the CPU often does a slower 1st serve.

It's not about the level ; sometimes, the CPU player will put some spin in the ball (either slice, topspin or twist), which produces slower serves.

I did a few sets with different levels, and the average serve speed goes down as expected when lowering the level. :)

Oh ok, thanks for clarifying. I just thought that since it is the Pro level, the serve would be faster. But unless it's in the 90s for serve power, the CPU serves slow very often at sublevel 1-7.

I just played a 10-point tiebreak vs. CPU Nadal at Pro level 3, and his average first serve speed was 104 mph, with only 1 serve being over 105mph. In real life, Nadal always serves at least 110mph 1st serve almost all the time.
Would it be possible to have the CPU serve faster first serve at the Pro level?

Brad1981,
at Pro-3, the Skills are already lowered. You need to be at Pro-10 to get the real serve speeds.

Else, in your Tennis.ini, check "AiSlowerServer" under [Game].

Ok, because the CPU is difficult for me even at Pro level 3 in all aspects, except for the serve. I wanted to keep everything as it is, but just make the serve not lose much skill level from what it is set at.
