Well, I can't wait to see all of this !

The only thing I would like to suggest is to include asymetrics outfits for women, because a lot of clothes are asymetrics in the last years ^^ (avec si par exemple tu y arrive, la possibilité d'avoir en avant première le modèle pour pouvoir créer les tenues avant la sortie du jeu et ainsi pouvoir les incorporer dès la sortie !)

So I wish you good luck with all this stuff !

Ayu62,
yup, women outfit won't be symmetrical anymore (maybe as well for shoes, deniznadalfan). About Modding, I'm not sure how it'll go, the Engine I'll likely use (Unity3D) is very not Modding friendly, so I'll have to do extra stuff to allow modding to work.

PattySchnyder,
sure, I'll post news as they'll arrive...

yes, 3D players will be completely redone for TE4. 3D courts likely also, though it's still unclear what I want to do exactly on that side.
Sure, Challenge system will be optional, and it will very likely not be present in online matches.
Good to hear about the 3D players being redone, I look forward to that. Another game I've been playing recently, The Golf Club, uses the Unity engine. A TE game in this engine could look nice :).

If I can trust anyone to deliver a solid game that they take pride in, it's Mana Games. The 20€ or so I spent on TE2011 was probably the best value purchase I've made in all of my years of gaming :).

Hi Manutoo, thanks for improving your great game. Lets see hows that Unity3D when TE4 was released. Please, if possible, make the new game open for us to fine tune the game to our liking. Thanks.

The only thing that TS4 have better than TE is graphics and animations. Nothing else!
Gameplay in TE is fantastic. And I loved to see the new features that Manutoo is planning to add to the new version. Junior career is definitely going to be one of my favorite features. I hope the modding limitations of Unity don't affect 2D court making at least, because that is one of the best aspects of the current game.

- A couple of new player styles (or maybe even more), to match more closely the global strategy of what I'd call aggressive defensive players (ie: players who base their game mostly on defense, but also can feel pretty aggressive) ; that should help to paint a better picture of modern tennis
- Single tournament mode
- Challenge System (but with a twist  )
- Programmable ball thrower
- Service training
- Realtime scoreboard & realtime spectator mode for online matches

.

that sounds great. :applause:
single tournament mode is like on online playing is planned a tournament to start today at 11 and to can join online and to play 1st match and then if won, 2nd round ,... or what??
Between the few players with real doubles skills on this tour..

Just saw the "Programmable ball thrower" feature - I requested something like this a while back, great to see it on the list there :). Should be useful for practicing smashes :).

Sorana Cîrstea,
it's "Single tournament mode", not "Single online tournament mode".

Some single online tournament mode could be fun, though :) Like, creating a small draw (4, or 8 max), waiting for players to start it up, seeding them by ELO.
Along with the built-in realtime spectator mode, one could then watch the other match waiting for his opponent when he finishes is own match first.

I read about Unity 3D and I am impressed about its capability. It has physics feature and the ball will react on the way the racket was executed. This time it will be more realistic because we have to hit the ball to the center of the racket as in real life to have a more accurate shot. The angle of the racket stroke also have a big impact on where the ball will go. I managed to see the physics effects myself and I am convinced. The rendering of animations are also beautiful, the transition from one motion to another is fantastic and the momentum there is just like in real life. The usual great gameplay that TE have plus the new realistic features will surely make the new version a hit. I cant wait to see the new version.

jesp8000,
generic physics engines like the one used by Unity are not able to handle correctly the tennis ball physics, so using Unity won't bring anything new here.
About anims, current TE engine already support animation blending, but only between 2 anims ; Unity can blend more than 2 anims together ; but anyway, the most important factor for the quality of the animation is the animations themselves.
