I know what im about to say its a little too ambitious but please read:
im crazy about tennis but im a nba fan as well and i play as much TE as nba2k14.
And i think it would be really good if manutoo could check that game out if he hasnt played it yet.
Why? because ive never seen a game where each and every player is as customize as they did in theere.
just considering the 30 nba teams with their 15 player by rosters and doing the math thats 450 players.
All of those are perfectly done... so its not impossible to do the same with 450 TE players with a community like this one..
BUT what we really need to make this easier is to being able to edit all the greatest editable things of any player in a great "edit a player" system/mode whatever you call it.
Why on earth we have to go outside the game and open .ini files and start writing commands to put their right outfit, or edit how many time does the player take or bounce the ball before serving, etc.??
I think you should be able to do way more many things from inside the game and lot less from outside..
Also i would like to point out lot of great things the nba game has that could also apply for TE:
- Gear & Shoes: the possibilities to add gear to different body parts are way too many... you can place a wristband close to the wrist or closer to the elbow, also you can edit each arm separately. // you can place the logo headband looking to the front or the back or to one side...// you can have also 2 different accesories in the same arm (for example in TE: wristband + watch would be cool)
You can place gear in the legs...nowadays lot of tennis players wears those pads in their legs or knees. And also it would be perfect to be able to select the size of the socks, nosocks/low socks/ normal / high socks, etcs.
-Playing styles: i dont know if 4 playing styles includes all the accurate playing styles. it would be cool to have more possibilities (
here really interesting thread: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=58284 )or combinations( being able to select two playing styles or something in between of one or the other)-
- Signature Skills: things that some players may have that makes them have an atribbute boost in specific situations..here are a few ideas...maybe a boost for players that play in their own country or play Davis cup / or a boost for a player that is great coming from 2 sets down / or a flashyshot skill for players that allows some players to execute wow magic shots with more accuracy / or a super powerfull last strike when you are running out of air and just strike a win-loose shot / or a sigskill for a soft touch at the net / or special skill for lobs , or for passings, or for tenacity / or those cold blooded, motivation , gs champion skills that are somewhere hidden in the .ini file !!
It could also be interesting to make some "flaws" also not only good skills but also bad ones, for guys that play really bad under pressure at home, or when they serve for a set or match, etc. Instead of boosts some attributes decreases in those cases.
Also in the edit player it would be nice to pick from inside the game the favourite court for every player. and maybe playing in their fav court could boost the atributes as well -
- Tendencies: i think this doesnt sound easy, but it would be really cool to some how edit a little bit the players tendencies, not only in service (some players serve a lot more down to the T than wide open) but also in rallies there are players like JMDP that rarely execute a down the line backhand to the opp forehand...
-Signature shots: this is pretty well done in TE but i think we can have more options not just forehand, slice forehand, backhand, slice bakchand, volleys... but to create a few more like a running risk stroke that allows you to take a last shot draining all your energy, or a defensive one that allows you to get one step further like the one megy made for rafa.
Also it would be nice to create some running-walking animation for the players movement. please manutoo just create options and then the community will fill the blanks but leave great options.
Cheers
