Who is... (and a ELO disscussion)

...Paris Hilton, ELO 2500

Never seen him/her before. I played with him/her and was 3:0 (2 breaks) when he/she retired.

And I see Hilton is playing Player 1 and leading 6:0 6:0 2:0. I can understand people who enjoy playing this way.

You win some, and you lose some. I had about 5 matches today where opponents retire after first break.

Is it so important to keep your ELO? Wow, 2500, so cool, cool like 3 point in 3 games against good player

Yea, it's annoying. I find that this mainly happens with people in the 1100-1500 ELO range. And they often just go by the name "Player 1".
Also, I had one person enter the menus and not exit. This was when I was up 5-0. The game was "paused" while he was in the menus for like 5 minutes before I had to "retire" because the person didn't respond, and I lost like 20 ELO points.

I hate people who always retire after getting broken.
*cough" R. Federer *cough*
Brad is right, they are always in the mid-low 1000's.

you can download the latest version from the site and you won't lose ELO points anymore if you quit the match when your opponent is away or in the menus...

Paris Hilton could have and should have stuck to what she does best.

I am still losing ELO points when someone "pauses" a game and I am leading.
You should make it so that whoever is leading shouldn't lose ELO points, even if they retire.

Brad1981, in the latest version, you can quit a match without losing any ELO when the other player paused the game, but only if you deserve to not lose points ie: you're not flagged like you lost the match, and the ELO points are calculated like usually, so if you don't lead enough against a very weak player, you'll some points...

I just played 1 vs 2 match. I did notice it's 1 vs 2 when the match begned, not before.

Human and incredible CPU.

I lost 6:3 (I was better ofcourse) and lost 30 ELO. And this guy is a weak player but has ELO about 1700 becouse of his CPU 'friend'.

I think you should remove ELO calculations in 1 vs 2 matched.

Yesterday I played 8 matches in the space of 15 minutes and every single player retired after the first break of serve. I suggest we put some kind of a list of those unfair players and just ignore them completly.

Why did I lose 23 ELO points after quiting while leading 5:0 40:15 and other player in the menus for about an hour?

Hello,

just checked this, and it wasn't actually working correctly... :?
I fixed it and double checked so I hope it's working fine now.
But If you experience many desync with the latest version, thanks to let me know ASAP...

PS: sorry to Brad1981 , I deleted your last message, coz I hope now honest players won't need a trick to keep their ELO up against these *!#§ players... ;)
