Hello,

I am trying to edit players' stats using the Players.ATP.ini mod. However, for some players, changing their rank in RankPerYear is not changing their stats for me.

For example, I start with default year 2017, and when I try to change the 2017 rank for Jack Sock or Zhang Zhizhen, it is not changing their stats. I can change the FirstYear variable to shift their ranks, but I can't actually change the stats themselves, it almost looks like the RankPerYear for these players is hard-coded. Or maybe I am doing something wrong? Thanks.

Hello,

if you are coaching these players, you cannot change their skills by changing their RankPerYear.

If you don't currently coach them, then you likely do something incorrect. Try to change their name to be 100% sure the game uses your Players.ini .

In the official base, Jack Sock has a rank of 8 for 2017. It's the one you have changed, right ?

Yes, it's really strange, I don't coach Jack Sock, but when I change one of his stats, such as his Concentration, it works, and when I change his name, it works. Even when I change his FirstYear, I can shift his stats by one year. But when I change the 8 to 1008 in RankPerYear, it doesn't change his stats at all.

I started a career in 2017 with Sock being 80 in 2017 : his skills were kind low (as expected) ; I closed the game, set his rank back to 8, launched the game again and his skills were high (as expected).

So I have no idea what's going on on your PC...

Check Settings -> Profile -> Engine Log for warning & error.

Maybe you have 2 RankPerYear entries for Sock ? You can send me your Players.ini and I'll have a quick look.

Strangely enough, I created a new game with the Players.ini file and it worked, but in my save game, I have 4 players I have found who I cannot edit the RankPerYear for: Jack Sock, Rafael Nadal, Borna Coric, and Pablo Carreno Busta. I'm not sure how I broke my save game, but I guess I broke it. Is it okay if I send you my save game and Players.ini file to see what's happening?

By any chance, did you start a new career with these 4 players..?

I got your Bug Report and the changes I made to Sock's RankPerYear were reflected on the incoming match presentation screen, so I have no idea why it doesn't work for you...

If you put some files other than the Tour bases in your Mods folder, maybe try to remove them...

Haha that is wild, I just took out all of my files out of the mod folder and only replaced it with the base Players.ATP.ini file from TEM2-ModdingSDK.zip, then changed Jack Sock's RankPerYear from 8 to 1008, and still no change.

I don't mind not being able to change it properly this save game, my main concern is that if I start a new game, it's going to happen again for no reason at all. At this point I have no idea how to continue this issue, I'll just report back if there is another problem with a new save game. Thanks for your help, I love this game and how much you support us!

I tried with 80 instead of 8. Maybe 1008 fails for some weird reason (I didn't try it).

Unfortunately not, I've tried a lot of different numbers but no matter what I try with those four players (Nadal, Sock, Carreno Busta, and Coric) specifically with RankPerYear, I can't get their attributes to change at all. Maybe I messed with the ini files too much at one point, maybe I messed with it on Steam when I was offline vs. online, I don't know, but there is definitely some weird out of sync going on with just a couple of players.

It's okay, I'll continue to monitor when I start a new game.

So...haha crazy thing, I started playing this game again almost a year later with a totally new computer, although the same Steam account, and the same thing is happening. I'm trying to change RankPerYear for Bruce Strachan and nothing is happening for me in the match presentation screen.

Not sure how to resolve this since it seems to never happen for you at all.

You do the changes with the game closed and then on the next launch you don't see the changes, right ?

Check if you put some Modding SDK files in the Data folder ; also delete the "Ini" folder if it was created next to the "Mods" folder. Look for a "Players.ATP_Mod.ini" that could contain only the RankPerYear for some players.

Yes, I make the changes with the game closed but I don't see the changes.

There is no Ini folder next to Mods folder, all Ini files, including Players.ATP.ini, are in Mods/Mod/Ini. There is also no Players.ATP_Mod.ini file.

To check, I removed all of the files in the Ini folder and only moved in the default Players.ATP.ini from the modding SDK zip file. Then I only changed the RankPerYear for a player who I had issues with, in this case, Bruce Strachan. But it is still not changing the attributes on the match presentation screen for me.

Check if you have changed NoNormalization, under [WT_Static] ; it should be on 0.
