Hey Manu, quick question.

Is it possible that I get better performance when playing the game version I downloaded from the forum compared to the Steam version? I don't know how often you update the game on Steam.

I tried using the exact same settings in both and I get a higer frame rate in the latest SubBuild downloaded from here.

both versions are identical and I update them at the same time.
If the Steam version has lower framerate, maybe it's because Steam is doing some stuff in the background ? (eg: downloading updates)
Or if you have turned on the DirectX 9 Mode for the Mana Games version and not for the Steam version, then it's normal you get better framerate on the MG one.

That was it! I'm playing the steam version in DirectX9 mode now and it works fine.

Good to know that both get updated at the same time, it's so much easier having the Steam version. Thanks Manu!

Hey Manu, I found a weird bug: I hit a backhand winner and the pop up at the top left of the screen said it was a forehand winner. Then my opponent hit a backhand error and the game said forehand error. I think the player stats are counting them right, it's just the message that appears on the screen that is wrong. You should take a look at that.

Another thing I think needs tweaking is serve: I played a set against a player that had an average of 88% in serve stats, and I had like 84%. I played a whole set (we went to a tiebreak) and my opponent hit 14 aces out of 37 serves. I wasn't even a really good server on TE2013 and I got 13 aces out of 48 serves including four aces in a single game. This was only in six service games for each and including the tiebreak.

I find it really difficult to return, especially when comparing this to TE2013. I feel like first serves tend to go in more frequently now. And I know both players are good servers but I think the numbers are still too high, it's not even close to what a real-life Nadal vs Djokovic is like. Can't imagine what an Isner-like player could do to me.

to get the bases :
1- launch the game, go to Settings -> Profiles and click on the Show Data Folder icon on the bottom left, then close the game
2- in that folder, create a "Ini" subfolder (EDIT: SubBuild 2019.6.8 changed the Player & Tour base .ini folder from "Data" to "Ini")
3- in that folder, edit Tennis.ini (or the .ini of your Profile, if you have created one) and change this line, under [WT_Static], from :
SaveTourIni = 0
to:
SaveTourIni = 1
4- save & close Tennis.ini
5- launch the game, start a new game on the Women Tour if the current game is on the Men Tour, and vice versa
6- you'll have now both player bases in Data

Now I'm having problems with this. I did those exact steps and now when I enter the game the bug reporter appears on screen (I had reported a bug earlier, maybe that had something to do with this?).

I cancel it and try to start a Women's Tour game, but I can't get past the first screen. I can change the coach's name, nationality, skills, etc. but I can't click continue.

I could have messed up somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I followed those steps exactly as you said.

1) You didn't turn on the recording ; but it's ok, I checked the code directly and could fix the bug for today's build (coming in a few hours)
