"Your reputation"

Postby Toyo » 31 Aug 2012, 03:12

Manu, why you choose the option for reputation value?

It makes no sense...

Why not? =>>>those decisions are based on human character.(not always of course)

Some people you cannot change...and yes there are honest people but you can't read or guess if those decisions are correct.

But on the other hand it's not 100% so bad, players are perhaps more cautious?

Ok My vote = no

So guy's other opinions please...

Hello,

it's exactly what any reputation is based on : the perception other humans have of you.

Not sure the current implementation I did is perfect, but we'll see how it turns out after a little while.
I needed something in addition of the banning, coz it was obviously not enough to calm down a good bunch of annoying players... :fear:
Hopefully, now they'll behave better, or other players will have the possibility to avoid them.

I also think it's a good idea, sometimes it's even better when you know that person particularlly, which is the case with Wilames and me...

You're very naive to assume that most TE players, who seem to have an average mental maturity of about 10, are going to use this system the way you intended. They're quite bitter and just mark you down purely because they've lost. I was playing someone yesterday who was being incredibly annoying, I did nothing to provoke him but he gave me a bad rep anyway.

Agree with Richou. It's not always accurate since many people give bad rep after they lost a match.

I checked and it seems no one gave more than 1 negative vote so far, so it's not that bad.

vamos rafa,
no, he didn't. But it seems it's a quitter that gave you a neg, as the score was 5/4, though...

It should be gotten rid of completely. Majority of TE players comprises of kids who are too immature and will abuse the rep system just because they can't take a loss.

Manutoo, why dont you yourself mark players on the basis of the reports you get? Maybe something like how the elo is related to ip address, so can the rep thing.

future seen, it will be a rubbish heap!
You must think further like this,

Like Richou says=>if fair players have 'bad reputation' ...well it's the first thing you see when you join someone an what do opponents???Yes they won't play you!
Look maybe 80 to 90% are no buyers and oooooh yeah I paid for this game. You can't know if it's justified or not ...

And as a buyer of this game I keep to defend my opinion!!!

Manu I am sure you get a lot of work and even more with this topic in the rubric "report insulting and rude players"

I'll bet your going to give me the same horn about this when it's on the wrong way!

So Manu two negative votes=>>>>>>>>>>>>NO

If you banned the chat option (during gameplay of course)it will be more effective for fair play.(actually you don't need the chat option)

Maybe I am too old for playing this but I love this game sooooooooooooo much!
