ELO

Postby Lukas84 » 05 May 2009, 08:54

Hey, at first I wanna say that I dunno if someone already post this bug/problem here, if yes then sorry.:P
I wanna talk about something that happend few times to me, Lets say that Im playing against KZ(who will be 19 in 23hours and 55 mins btw:) ), its demo version so u got this 12 mins, oh and lets say that KZ has 2800 ELO, and me 1800, ok...KZ wins 6-1 earns like 12 ELO I loose 12...we play rematch(same session) we have like 1:47 from last game so we play few training points wait for the time to expire aaaand go, rematch, there is no time, fine by me...KZ wins 6-1 and the proble....he loose like 35 ELO and I gain 35 ELO...we play another match, same here, no time, same result same ELO gain/loose....one more match, KZ wins 6-0 and looses 30 ELO I gain 30 ELo, so...at the end of a day we could played like 30 matches...KZ might have won all of them...but Im the guy that ends up with higher ELO....whats up with that?

Well , I remember our matches , but I don't remember having lost elo
But since we are speaking about , I remember I have played a match against Tati Cornet , I was leading 4-2 when the time elapsed , I haven't lost elo but I remember he won some pts
strange

ManuToo I have a question. I played someone and he retired down 5-1 but didn't lose any ELO for retiring. Why? Here's the picture.

The same happened to me twice, but not only my opponent won ELO but I lost...80 points, and then 90 points(well, it doesn't matter much now but  )

Callan09, Google is ur best friend, and the ELO rating system is named after his creator, Arpad Elo (1903–1992, born Él? Árpád) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system
