Hi Manu,
I’m a huge fan of tennis video games. Ever since I found TE4, I’ve been absolutely hooked by its realistic simulation and the satisfying feel of hitting shots, and I’ve become a big fan of the game.

Recently though, I’ve run into an issue that feels a bit off during gameplay. When I play against the CPU, they seem extremely aggressive on offense. I struggle to hit any aces at all — even when I’m playing women’s matches with serves reaching 180–190 km/h, they almost always get returned. On top of that, the CPU seems to hit far too many winners. I’m currently on Pro 10 difficulty, and I’m wondering what factors are behind this: whether it’s because my skill settings are misconfigured, or if there are other reasons.

I’d love to hear your take on this issue, and it would be really helpful if you could share a rough reference for ATP/WTA pro-level skill settings.

Hello,

if you don't keep your opponent under pressure, he will indeed get very aggressive (depending on his play style, though).

So you have several possibilities :
- lower the difficulty
- raise your Footwork Boost (in your Character Sheet)
- make the CPU slower => topic15-34323.php

Side notes :
- check that you don't have input lag on your monitor ; otherwise, you'll be greatly penalized
- to do ace, you usually need to touch the lines
