Grunts for serve and accelerations

Hello,

Do you think we could have in the future some grunts settings for services and acceleration shots ? It would be optional, but we could set it like that in Sound.ini :

[SoundFxAc]
Grunt = GruntA, GruntB...
GruntServe = GruntServeA, GruntServeB...
GruntAcc = GruntAccA, GruntAccB...

And by default it could stay like now, so all the grunt files will be played in all different kind of shots like currently

[SoundFxAc]
Grunt = GruntA, GruntB...

It could help audio realism very much.

Hello,

in the next update (likely coming within a few days), you should be able to optionally add these 2 entries next to any existing Grunt entry :
Code: Select all
GruntService   =   GruntServeA, GruntServeB...
GruntAccel   =   GruntAccA, GruntAccB...

I didn't test (I just checked it was still working with the base game grunts), so I'm not sure it'll work correctly or not... :fear:

Grunt = are read
GruntService = not read
GruntAccel = not read

I checked and it's working fine.

Are you sure you're modifying the correct file ?

Try 1st to add this to "Specifics\Ini\Sound_Mod.ini" :
[SoundFxAc]
GruntService = GruntService
GruntAccel = GruntAccel

And have GruntService.ogg & GruntAccel.ogg in the grunt folder.

Ok, but what if I want to have 3 acceleration grunts for player A and 4 grunts acceleration for player B ?

It works the same.

Be sure to activate Grunt on service in that player's Customization screen.

I don't know what's going on, I'm very confused... still not working !
In player customization, grunt settings, I only have : All rally strikes / Only Service / Also acceleration / All Tough Strikes. None of them work for grunt service and grunt accel.

Ouch, indeed "Only Service" is the lowest setting, not a higher one.

Could you create a mini-Mod for the unmodded game with only your grunt stuff ? I'll check it on my PC.

You had "GruntServe = GruntService" in your .ini (instead of "GruntService = ").
But anyway, the game wasn't checking the Grunt's .ini on play, so it wasn't working correctly if there was no GruntService in the Specifics' .ini . Plus, I noticed I had forgotten something to handle correctly the playing in advance for the accel and the service. It'll be all fixed in the next update, thanks to your report ! :yes: (not sure when it'll come, though :fear: )

Note : "GruntService = " should currently work in the Specifics' .ini, though.
