Converting TE2013 2D courts to TE4

Hi,

I've read the guides on this, but just wanted to double check a few things.

1) The dimensions of the court.jpg are different. Is it important to crop these to a 2:1 ratio for use in TE4? Ideally 2048x1024?

2) I obviously know to change the court.ini to Stadium.ini, but I just need clarification on what needs to be in that file. I will add the general details under the [Stadium] header, but I'm unsure of exactly what needs to be under [Camera] and what doesn't.

The Dominican Republic court has the following data under [Camera]:

Angle = -15.802
Custom = 1
CustomFocal = 2.27921
Dist = 2301
Height = 473.401
Translation = 0
ForceSunInBack = 1 // 1 => Force Sun To Go in Back of Camera
Aperture = 0.5
Elevation = 0.5
Mode = 0
Zoom = 2.125
ZoomStart = 2
AspectRatio = 1.6
FollowMode = 0

Do I need to leave all of that data in place, then put the automatic line positioning coordinates in below that, or can some of this be removed?

3) If the court.jpg already has lines in it, how to I stop new lines being added on top?

Hello,

1) The texture is better to have power-of-2 dimensions, but you don't need to crop it, you just scale it, ideally to 2048x1024.

2) Most TE2013 were 16:9 ratio using the 16:10 ini value, so you cannot convert them to TE4. You should use the new UV system, it's pretty fast and easy.

3) add this line to your Stadium.ini under [Data] :
LinesColorFor2D = 0

Thanks for your reply.

So, does this mean I can remove all the lines under the [Camera] heading, and just add the four UV lines, like below? I don't need any other info there?

[Camera]
AutoU1 = 0.3323
AutoV1 = 0.2106
AutoU2 = 0.8297
AutoV2 = 0.7810

If the court.jpg doesn't have lines or different shaded areas to use as a guide, do you just guess roughly where the top left and bottom right of the court should be?

1) You just need to specify the aspect ratio if it's not 16:9 ; eg:
AspectRatio = 2.35
