Is it possible to extend a career beyond 25 years on the console version?

I found some other posts about this in different forums, and managed to get the PS5 version into DevMode, but when starting a new career in either the XKT profile or in a newly-created profile, it still only gives a 25-year option.

I had already read that thread, but I'm not sure how to access the Tennis.ini or [Profile].ini file to change it when I'm playing on console?

That's why I tried the DevMode option, but after I changed it to 1 and restarted the game, it didn't seem to change anything with regard to career length (even though I could see the rectangle at the top left with info on it).

Ok, I've worked it out now! I'm playing with the XKT mod, but I've also created my own separate mod where I'm making updates to XKT. Within my own mod, I created a Profiles folder and put a file inside it called XKT_Mod.ini and inside that file I just put [WT_Static] followed by MaxYear = 100. That seems to have worked, as it now gives me 100-year ranges to work with when I start a new career.

Is that the only way to do it when you're playing on a console, as I couldn't work out how to directly access the XKT.ini file itself? When you manually download the files for the XKT mod from Mod.io, it doesn't include the XKT.ini profiles file.

Just follow the instructions here topic19-32161.php , replacing the Section & Entry by WT_Static & MaxYear.

Just out of curiosity, in a longer career mode, what happens when your own player retires? Usually, when your character retires, it stops the game.

If I run a 100-year career, my player would be 118 by the time it finishes. Will the game still expect me to enter him in events?

So, after the initial 25 years of a longer career, I'm guessing it's more about following the Tour's progression, watching the CPU play matches, and if I wanted to play a match I can just do that using any of the Tour players?

You should enter a tournament to advance time and refuse to play when the game asks you to enter the qualifications.
