Stuck when updating Mods ?!

Postby Anton707 » 08 Dec 2024, 18:48

I was installing xkt update and it froze so I reset and now I have no mods installed. Every time I then go into mod management it freezes again.

Literally can’t play the game. Is this an issue with the latest update? Do you know a fix?

0) It could be a temporary ModIO website failure

1) Maybe try to wait a long time to see if it unfreezes (like 5 minutes)

2) Possibly, you could try to go to Settings -> Profile, check "Delete All Mods on the next launch" and restart the game and see if it helps or not

Thanks for coming back to me.

I tried waiting but it didn’t work.

If I delete the mods, will it effect my current career mode?

You cannot go on your career without the XKT Mod correctly installed (and possibly other Mod modifying the Tour bases that you may have installed).

Once everything is deleted, hopefully you'll be able to subscribe to Mods again.

Hi Manu. I tried deleting mods on next load up on profile section but it didn’t work :(

Only thing I haven’t tried is deleting my XKT profile. In profile it says current profile is xkt and option to delete it. But worried that will delete my current career mode in xkt, do you know if it will?

Don't delete the XKT profile ! This would indeed delete your saved games, and it shouldn't affect the Mod Management menu behavior.
If you wanted to try, you could click the "Reset settings" button instead, but this should not affect your current issue.

Could you send me a Bug Report right now by clicking the little white icon on the top left of the Main menu ? I'll check if you have any Mod left.

I got your report.

It seems the Mods haven't been deleted, but the ModIO plugin doesn't report them either.

You don't have hundreds of recordings in the Recording menu, right ?

I designed it so if there's no Mod reported, nothing is deleted... If you confirm me you don't have recordings, then you'll have to manually delete the Mod drive (it'll delete any recordings you may have as well) :

To do so :
- press the menu button on Tennis Elbow 4 in your Xbox game library
- select "Manage game and add-ons"
- select Saved Data
- Select "Reserved space" and clear it

Launch the game and hopefully, you'll be back to a viable state... :fear:

Clearing reserved space worked but when I download xkt patch it gets stuck on installing and then when I close the game and restart it’s frozen again.

Gonna try again and let it keep installing and see if it works

It worked in the end. Thanks for your help. I think the issue was having my mod live and xkt updating. I uninstalled my mod, let xkt update then reinstalled my mod

Hi Manu, hope you are well!

I have the same issue as before but nothing is working now.

I updated the mod I made but when I go to update, it automatically starts downloading the updates from XKT mod. This then crashes the game and now I can’t download anything. Do I have the option not to download XKT updates automatically? That would solve this.

Anyway, I deleted mods on reload, cleared reserved space and when I try to download XKT it always gets stuck at 20% on install.

Is there anything else I can try? Thanks in advance for your help

How long does it block ? Did you try to wait at least 5 min ?

Do you have enough HD space on your Xbox ? (the game should normally ask for it if you don't, but maybe it doesn't work :fear: )
