CONCEPT
This mod attempts to combine some of the greatest tennis games into one. The platform that enables this is the brilliant TENNIS ELBOW 4 by ManaGames.
You will see tributes to courts from games from the past primarily from the Topspin and Virtua Tennis series of games, but some from others as well.
Coincidentally, both series officially stopped after 4 games, so the “5” in the title of the mod is in reference that this is a fictional continuation of these games. I took
inspiration from these games; the courts alone took a considerable amount of effort to recreate in a faithful way.
The fantasy “Virtua TopSpin Pro-Tour” is a combination of real and imagined events, incorporating Grand Slams, Elite League, The Gold Series, World Team Cup,
Pro, Pro-Am and Amateur Tours. You will see a large variety of tournaments you can enter with your pro, held on the 135 2D courts that are included in the mod.
There are also many pros from Topspin and Virtua Tennis games included in the training club as practice partners. You will notice that they are wearing faithful recreations of the outfits in their respective games and even have the correct
racquet and string setup as they used in real life. It was necessary to create many new outfits for this so I kept going and made over 120 new clothing items for your
pro. There are also items kindly included from YoungSerif and Burned and members of the XKT Modding team. All credit goes to you!
There is even an entire line of clothing from my own fictional Tennis company “Code Violation”. All those designs are copyrighted, so don't get any ideas...
There are over 100 real life racquets and 50 strings from many manufacturers included in this mod.. I tried to include a variety of racquets. From historic wooden classics, top-of-the line prostock customs through to the aluminium $29 job I bought from the local sports store (incidentally, that's not my current racquet; they are both included, though) Surely, you will find one that you like, or maybe own or have used in real life. Chances are you will probably learn about some new ones you didn't know existed; I sure did.

The TE4 original sound has been overhauled with the gracious help and contributions of the XKT mod team. Without their kind help and permission to use
their work, this mod would not exist. I have attempted to add aural variation and timbre to the grunts and sounds and added a large number of umpires, again for
aural variation.
I made a new UI and included a soundtrack that should invoke old memories and create new ones. I also altered some of the menus, definitions and functions
within the game, as to give it a fresh and more natural feel.
One notable thing would be the play styles. Here is the equivalent playstyles to the
original Tennis Elbow 4 versions;
Defender ---> Defender
Power Baseline ---> Baseliner
Puncher ---> Hard-Hitter
All-court Attacker ---> Aggressor
Volleyer ---> Serve & Volley
Counter ---> Returner
Counter Puncher ---> Counter-Attack
All-rounder ---> All-Court
Bulldog ---> Tactical

Special thanks to Burned for playtesting the mod beforehand and basically eliminating some game-breaking glitches which I stupidly included.
Speaking of stupid glitches, there are bound to be some which I have caused. If you experience crashes, 99.9% certain it will be because I have messed something
up, so don't bother the game developer, it's my fault, not theirs. Speaking of the developer, thankyou very much to Manutoo for making such an
incredible piece of software and having the foresight and nobility to allow it to be modded to such depth. Tennis Elbow 4 is his creation and I really want to be
respectful of him and his community... which is why I am realeasing this mod and making all off it's components completely open source – if anybody wants to use
any of the items created, full permission is granted, just find some way to credit me if you can.
I anticipate that most people will think this mod is awful and I couldn't argue with them... I see errors everywhere.. but I made it as good as I could be bothered, but I
personally don't think it's very good. I feel I failed. and I am sorta lacking the motivation/inspiration to refine it any further so instead of just deleting it all
(which I considered many times), I will release it so others can at least see it and decide for themselves.
My life has taken several turns for the worse in the past few months and I have been struggling alone in a very personal and private matter for a while now. I have
considered taking my own life many times in recent times, working on this mod has given me a distraction and temporary relief from these bad thoughts and
negative realities but now my time on it is over and it's time again to face reality.
Anyway, I hope somebody, somewhere enjoys it.
