no, you cannot add 3D model to the game.
But you can shape the head with the face editor from Character Sheet -> Customize Player, export the Outfit Code and then paste it in the Player base to get players somewhat looking their real counterpart.
If you do so, please send me the codes and I'll put them in the official base..!

I've tried working with the Customize player but it's just not enough Specially the hair and the eyebrows are very limiting, I'm not even sure who has those hairstyles in there, and all the characters have the same eyebrows shape and position.

Just a question, are the player appearances like that because it is not finalized yet? Just curious if the player appearances are indeed randomized. I hope they are. Otherwise I might start researching how to mod Unity games by myself even outside the scope of official modding. The engine and game is just too good for me to let the player appearances get in the way.

the player appearance in the world is currently fully random (except for a few player's skin color).
The appearance options are final, though.
But it's possible to add eyebrows textures by Modding.

You won't be able to Mod directly from Unity, because there's a long process to make the model game-ready, so you can't just change or add something like that.

The only possibility is the hair, as they are (almost) separated meshes, but they need a few blendshapes to adapt to the different hat and face options, so it's already a lot of work to add some...

That's good to know that they will be improved. I have replaced meshes in Unity games before so I know I can do that at least. I don't really care if the players I am less familiar with look weird (as I won't really know) but at least the top 40 players I want to look recognizable. The eyebrows really just thickness and position would be very helpful. But ultimately, since the faces are so small, it's really the hair and the general face that will matter. I think that's why in TE2013 the mods were fine because it pretty much just pasted the face texture on the player. Is it possible to add just one generic face that you could load a face texture over? lol I bet everyone would use it.

it should be possible to add face by Modding, like Sam did with his SamPatches.
It's what I did for the eyebrows actually.
