To most of the complainers,
I think you should really lower your consumption of drug, like really, a lot.

So, the new speed didn't change a thing on the return, if you return normally ; ie : you stand where the game puts you, and then you start to go left or right when your opponent serves. It's _exactly_ same than before. Take the needle out of your arm, smash your fix, throw your vodka away, and re-read this previous sentence 10 times, ok ?
If to return, you were going to the center of the court & then running to the side, then it's normal you get nailed by the new speed, though. But did you ever see any real tennis player doing this in a real tennis match in a real tournament, except in your psychotic hallucinations ?
If you do little left/right sidestep on the return, then check they are really little.
And globally, if you don't run all around when you should not, always guessing, you'll almost never be too much penalized by the new left/right speed conversion.
Raz,
if you didn't mod the game, then it was your opponent who did.
Mohamed,
what is unrealistic is the grass speed ; actually, it's the realistic speed of the grass, but pre-2000, when it was designed for serve volleyer ; now, it's the kingdom of Nadal & Djokovic, the heavy baseline top-spinners...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP6h96kp ... re=related ==> at 0:03-0:04 , count the number of frames Nadal needs to stop to run & start to go back in the center ; do the same in TE, and count the frames as well ; then factor that this video is likely at 24 frames per second, while TE is at 60 fps, and you'll get the real time in both cases ; so who wins ? what players is the fastest one ..?
Serena Williams Fan,
look like you need to count the frames at well...

And while you're at it, check the speed of the ball in Top Spin 4 & in a real match...
adner,
glad to see someone who is not totally intoxicated and know how to control his player..!
Marcos Nion,
nothing changed on the slice nor the PB style...
