Hello,

Tennis Elbow 2011 v1.0c is released (Build 73-2011.9.8) :

Patch for all versions since v1.0a Build 65 => 1.0c Build 79 - SubBuild 2012.1.11 :

New Features :
- New Strike Styles : 2 Serves, 2 Forehands, 2 Two-Handed Backhands (you're welcome to guess from what real players they are inspired from in this topic : topic15-2209.php?start=75#p74703 )
- Online : Hosts can limit Ball Preview to whatever they wish
- AI : CPU can now do stop volleys (ie: dropshot volleys)
- Modding : Sign.Tga can be assigned a Skin (ie: loaded from a Sub-folder)
- Modding : can use 0 size flag to preload a country flag in a shader

Changes :
- Online : in Tennis.ini, HideOppHelper moved from [Game] to [Network]
- Gameplay : strike speed bonus on ball whose height is around your player shoulder has significantly increased, and can trigger on slightly raising balls instead of only falling balls ; bonus is halved for Defender & Counter play styles ; bonus cannot trigger if not enough time since your opponent hit the ball (ie: on return of service)
- Gameplay : strike speed is slightly more capped when hitting low & very low balls ; this is especially noticeable on fast surface where the bounce is low
- Gameplay : imprecise strikes can be sometimes significantly shorter
- Gameplay : topspin strikes can be sometimes a bit shorter
- Gameplay : jump at net is more tiring
- Gameplay : dropshot against too fast incoming ball doesn't go too high anymore
- Gameplay : missed volleys have a bit less chances to clip & pass the net
- Gameplay : all strikes done against a sliced ball are now less precise
- Gameplay : Defender style topspin rate bonus slightly lowered (ie: you'll need a bit higher Topspin skill if you want to max out your spin in most situations)
- Gameplay : Normal & Topspin strikes done very far from the baseline are now a bit shorter
- Gameplay : volley dropshots use a bit more the Net Presence skill and a bit less the Drop Shot skill
- Helpers : Smoke appears now at 1st on the last precise acceleration
- AI : CPU can now chip & charge the net
- AI : CPU rush the net quicker after its strike
- AI : CPU repositions itself slightly faster after its strike
- AI : CPU does less volleys going to the middle of the court & globally volleys a bit better
- AI : CPU can decide to hit the ball around its shoulder height
- Animation : serve 2 tuned a bit ; serves 4 & 5 fixed (shoulders & hands had problems)
- World Tour : Speed skill isn't too much capped anymore for tall players ; most other skills' cap removed or diminished

Bug Fixes:
- AI : in Doubles, CPU behaves correctly after a jump at the net, and on certain situations where both partners didn't play the ball
- Render : when camera gets close of edges of the stadium, the lower part doesn't disappear anymore
- Helpers : Ball Preview is correctly displayed when watching CPU vs CPU matches (it's done according to the CPU level)
- World Tour : Experience Points at start of a New Game were emptied ; they are now back to their correct amount

Notes :

- as usually, if you notice any glitch or bug, thanks to report them !
- don't forget to exit the game before to install the latest version
- With all the different improvements brought by this new version, now the CPU should be globally quite better to reach the net & then finish the point there

Important Note :
Post in this topic only if it's related to the latest new version, ie only for these 2 cases :
- about a point listed in the New Features / Changes / Bug Fixes
- about a bug that you are sure didn't happen in the previous version but happens in the new one (else, post in the "Bug Report" forum)

Build 74, September 10th:

Changes :
- Gameplay : strike speed cap on low ball tuned
- Gameplay : strike precision handicap on incoming sliced ball lowered a tiny bit
- Gameplay : slice is now a bit shorter when done far from the baseline
- Gameplay : slightly capped the imprecision that makes the ball very short in some cases

- Gameplay : overpowered drop shot tuned
- Gameplay : slice is less short when done far from the baseline
- Gameplay : max speed of acceleration & short acceleration on smash raised by up to 5km/h (depending of Net Presence & Smash skills)
- Animation : Serve 6 tuned a bit

Build 76, October 25th:

New Features :
- Modding : easier to handle HUD modifications for specific tournaments with Modded Tour base
- Modding : can save & reload strike styles when there are more than 10 styles
- Modding : advanced player name formatting (see "Pak01.pak/Menu/HudAbove.Menu")

Changes :
- Gameplay : strike choice between baseline and volley tuned
- World Tour : women serve speed lowered
- AI : CPU uses dropshot at net more smartly (ie: only if the incoming ball isn't too fast)
- Animation : preparation of serve n°2 tuned a bit

Bug Fixes :
- Modding : fixed custom camera init for 2D court with dynamic mode

New Features:
- Modding : can change the Woman Serve Speed Coefficient in World Tour in the Tennis.ini with WtaServeSpeed, under [WT_Static]

Bug Fixes:
- World Tour : fixed hanging on "Week - Day" screen when playing a doubles tournament with 2 human players
- World Tour : Serve Talents are correctly loaded, so some CPU players should now use slice & topspin serves
- Rendering : slightly better court lines display when the corridors are off

Build 77, December 29th:

New Features :
- Online : New No-Lag Network code ; now, you can move in the online mode in the same way than in the offline mode, ie: without any delay on your input ; the main tradeoff is that your opponent movements are a bit jerky sometimes
- Modding : added MaxShader in [3dEngine] in GameSys.ini to allow to increase the maximum shaders ; this is needed if you add a lot of images & icons to the game

Changes :
- Gameplay : short acceleration enhanced => the speed handicap on low ball now applies less strongly, especially with high Top Spin skill
- Gameplay : short strike speed slightly raised when the power skill is very low

Bug Fixes :
- World Tour : Woman strike speed penalty coz of low ball was too big
- World Tour : when asked to enter a Forced Tournament in Singles, you'll be now registered for Doubles as well if you wanted to if your ranking was not high enough to be a Forced Tournament in Doubles
- Online : ELO calculation fixed when Trial time doesn't stop exactly at the same time on both PCs

Note :
- The new No-Lag mode still requires a Delay ; it is advised to let it to Auto-Delay ; the higher the Delay is, the longer your input will be ignored before you strike the ball (this is similar to the previous way the game was working, except that ignorance zone has been now divided by 2) ; if you notice some lag, raise the Delay to a value above the Auto-Delay

Build 78, January 3rd:

Changes :
- Online : tuned aiming dead-zone, so now it should be easier to volley when playing with a high Delay ( >= 150ms)
- Online : skill system of Fair Play revamped ; it is now working like the Realistic Mode, but instead of remapping from 0-100% to 30-90%, it's remapped to 30-100%
- Online : Serve Power remapped to 30-80% in both Fair & Realistic Modes (from 25-75% in Realistic mode, and from capped to 70% in Fair Mode)

Bug Fixes :
- World Tour : your partner will now cancel their singles if you want to enter a doubles draw in another tournament ; they'll try to join in Singles, if their ranking allows it
- Online : slice / normal strike animation should be now selected more correctly

Note :

Build 79, January 11th:

Changes :
- Online : when the Delay was high and the ping was low, the game could be jerky on one PC and smooth on the other one ; now the game will try to spread evenly the jerkiness between the 2 PCs so it'll be more fair
- Online : raised the maximum Delay to 400ms (from 250ms); that Delay can be set only through Auto-Delay, and the Auto-Delay will raise above 250ms only if you wait at least 5 seconds before to click on "Play" after your opponent has connected to you

Bug Fixes :
- World Tour : correct ranking points assignation around 2-week tournaments for your player when not starting at the rank #1000

Note :
- Note : at 400ms Delay, the game won't be much fun anymore, the ball & your opponent might get very jerky, so I added the possibility to play with such high Delay only for the people who really want to play and have no other choice than to endure very high ping to do so

I don't know why I can't play Doubles..The game glitches too much (not related to a connection problem) but I mean the screen is glitching. Cuz in Singles, it's 100% fine.

Not at all - it's inconsistent and often too short and pretty random...it needs to be fixed to what it was before this update.
