How To Beat Davydenko in World Tour ?

Postby borrowedtime » 17 Apr 2011, 00:18

Hello everyone,

Why is it so difficult playing against Davydenko? It's like playing against a wall. He gets every ball back with depth and tons of top spin. I can do nothing about it. If I stay at the baseline, I can't hit my powerful strokes, as the ball gets too close to my body. If I do hit my powerful strokes, the ball will go out. The only way I can hit my shots are if I stand all the way back behind the baseline, but my shots will be weak by the time they land. I had 3 break points again Davydenko, but he just increased his level of play and dominated me. How is this possible? Other players with stats far stronger than his, I can 6-0 at the master sublevel 10 level. How can you beat Davydenko? He's a wall.

P.S. Davydenko is the one who ended my perfect run at 68-0.

Master SubLevel 10 is pretty easy...I've beaten Davydenko tonnes of times on that...with all the players it's the same basic thing...bashing DTL until they die or use a drop and finish it at the net (since they respond badly to drops)...Anyways, online players are much more fun to play against...CPUs are boring...Btw, on clay you gotta rally long to beat them and stay patient with some spins and looking to punish DTL or when you got a shorter ball from them with a drop...It's not difficult, but then again I'm playing this game for a long time, so depends on your skills too...

Thank you stajus. Playing online is fun, but I can never find games to join. If I create my own game, no one ever joins. Just curious, what level do you play against the cpu?

Hey, maybe your UDP Port 4321 is closed...so you would need to open it at your router. I haven't played with CPUs in a very long time now...but I think I reached No1 on Incredible Sub Level 5, but it wasn't easy...on Master Sub Level 10 I couldn't really lose a match xD...Then I tried the World Tour on Incredible Sub Level 10 but I couldn't really win matches in the first few futures so I kinda gave up after I tried 2-3 different ways to use my points by restarting the career (mostly I looked to be very fast so I put high speed and just tried to return everything and wait for errors, otherwise I had no chance with 10% power or whatever and not enough speed)...Now I just play on the online World Tour where the stats are a lot higher with the 780 points rule in Fair Mode

Oh, ok. I would like to play on the online world tour mode as well. Sounds so much more fun. :D How do you know when there are new tournaments? And how does the whole online world tour work? Incredible sublevel 5 sounds insane already. :D Are you no. 1 in the world on the online mode?
